This was my first CD by them as well. Mother of Rain is another of my favorite tracks. The Soundtrack to Legend they wrote is Beautiful as well. Great job on your cover.
A couple years ago I contacted you about some of your arrangements, especially Tangerine Dream. I have sequenced several of them and most recently, "Stratosfear". Once I sequence them, I use Cubase to orchestrate them. I wanted to express what a great job you did on Stratosfear and many others. I have a new RU-vid channel where I make music videos. I give you credit for what you have done and suggest your channel as well. Here is a link to my new channel: ru-vid.com/show-UCNMvObqNtCG2uX-6J8kpung Thanks for the scores! (my channel is not monetized and that is not my goal; only to promote great music! )
@@TheLuxardens I don't know. Unfortunately, Edgar's autobiography seldom mentions any individual tracks, nor the group's composition methods. Instead, it focuses on their extensive touring as well as political and philosophical matters. That being said, my impression is that Edgar was foremost a visionary and a hardworking project manager. As for the purely musical and melodical aspects of the group, I believe Schmoelling and Franke were more gifted. I base this assumption partly on the autobiography and partly on Edgar's solo works, which I am moderately impressed with. I might be entirely wrong on this point though, as Edgar indicates that he composed the Firestarter soundtrack all by himself.
Loved By The Sun is one of my favourite songs ever and this is such an excellent arrangement, you've managed to retain everything magical about the original which is a real feat! Thank you.
Appreciate the history about TD in your videos, I've just started to get into them, i only really knew them for Love On a Real Train, but they've got some gems, especially all the tracks featured on the Dream Sequence album. Dolphin Dance is great too, Le Parc is a nice easy listen album and a few songs from Optical Race are fantastic too.
Amazing!! Hello! Hope you can watch my piano roll version of Equinoxe 1 made on FL Studuo ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mz08xR-G390.htmlsi=o4espGHn6WTaw5bJ
Hi Marcus! This is a link to a version of your "Hyperborea" that I created in Cubase ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3nXuMQh24Hg.htmlsi=YvIllZhivzKFTG-b
Thanks for sharing. TD is my favorite group, even through all its iterations and changes of its membership. I used to have about 200 hours of their CDs and recordings, all of which I lost when my house burned in a wildfire. I am happy that people like you are keeping their legacy alive on YT. The Poland Concert of theirs, which ended up being a two CD set, is my favorite of theirs, with Catwalk being my favorite single.
@@marcusn1504 I actually learned a lot from the wildfire, about starting over again and how life has a capacity to renew itself, and how we can keep alive the best of the past by cherishing it. Thank you for doing this with TD. Blessings.
This may be my all time favorite TD piece. I have requested the entire piece to be played at my funeral ...it goes with some lines of poetry I have written ... "Moving forward to meet that place where earth and sky meet" ... Thank you for your interpretation of this beautiful piece of music ...
I’ve spent years trying to elucidate the baseline to the supporting accompaniment without much success and the open seconds of this opened my eyes! Thank you for your beautiful versions of the greatest music.
Is there any limit to your talents? Beautiful rendering of the DX7 koto line and then you nail the huge chords that support the soaring lead…you are amazing!
Your renditions of TD’s music are so beautiful. You fill the whole sound spectrum with notes that required three people to do originally. Pure genius and the text above the keyboard puts everything into an interesting context. More power to you!
Thank you so much for sharing both the video and especially the sheet music. This certainly beats having to build a sheet from scratch by watching your hands frame by frame (Which I did for a version of Force Majeure!). This is great!
This is high art my friend you have great talent and ears to get the essence of what was done on sequencer. Thank you for providing a score I know how time consuming this had to be. Thanks 🎉🎉🎉
Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful. I was only inspired to try and play this piece a few days ago on piano which ended up ok but not to this standard. You have set the bar very high.
Pleasure. I play by ear so I hope to pick up some tips watching you here. For one, I have just realised I was playing in the wrong key of Dm. Now I will have to relearn it. Doh! @@marcusn1504
