If you buy a pre-own pre certify BMW and you buy the maintenance warranty should that warranty start from the date I purchased it or can they back date it from when the car was originally sold also if the person that had it before if they purchase the tire warranty and never cancel it and it's still on the vehicle Should that be transferred over to my name as the new owner please advise
I heard something where, under that extra year of extended warranty, it only covers stuff that actually occured to the car during that year? If it was a pre-existing condition when you bought the car (but didnt check assuming "certified" engineers did the checking and fixing for you), then you were SOL? Is that true David?
CPO is marketing. In my experience many of the dealers DO NOT do the work to bring up to true CPO standards. Why not? Because it bites into their margin. The game? They will skip bringing it up to snuff, but will address any issues under the warranty. This lets THEM get paid to do work they should gave done to bring the car up to CPO specs.
The difference between "Active Driving Assistance" and "Active Driving Assistance Pro" is not clear. Then there is the "Driving Assistance Pro Package"

Concerning the warranty, this is what should be openly disclosed by BMW: cpo.bmwusa.com/Content/docs/BMWCPOWhatIsNotCovered.pdf. It's definitely not an extension of the new vehicle's warranty, and definitely, there is no peace of mind here. Mainly when there is a $160.00 diagnostic charge only to find out if the issue is covered or not. Very disappointing and even misleading.
I am looking to get a 2016/2017 X5 but very very concerned about reliability. I am planning to get extended warranty but it seems thats a complete scam.
Question - If BMW offer's 5 yr/60k miles warranty, and someone buys a 2017 MBW let's say... why would someone buy a BMW that is CPO? Trying to understand.
Quite informative but your camera technique needs improving. Movement is too quick and jerky and I had to stop watching midway because I was beginning to feel dizzy. It would be good if you could improve your filming technique and redo this video so that it flowed more smoothly

Or is the base 3.0D a better buy, also the M50d doesn't come with air suspension so how does that affect the off road package if I wanna spec that package on the M50d? Thanks for the info, I hope you make another video covering at least the basics of available warranty options after CPO 1 year warranty expires. also if a car is purchased that isn't certified, but still has factory warranty left is it transferrable ? lets say I get a better from a non bmw dealership can't I just purchased extended warranty before the original warranty is up from bmw or are there exclusions? thanks

The warranty on a cpo BMW isn't good enough, it should be at list three years 100000 miles if there car is any good has they say. By making it just one year that's saying BMW don't have any faith in the built quality of the car.
Depending on the year of the car, it could definitely go longer than 3 years. It's one year beyond the og warranty and UNLIMITED MILES. You could buy a year old BMW and drive 35k miles per year and be much better off than a 100k warranty

Good deal on CPO. I fix all the small issue under original Warranty and it still have cpo warranty cover the main part, like engine, transmission. It worth it for me because I like change cool car like 2 years.
Is the Driving Assistant Professional also able to adapt road based speeds? Meaning that it will also slow down the car in front of curves or exits even when there is no specific speed limit given for the road curve or exit
The Certified Warranty BMW provides is pretty much in line with the rest of the competitors. But, you're right there are items that BMW doesn't cover under the CPO warranty. For that, you can always purchase additional coverage from your local dealership. An "endless list" is a bit of an exaggeration, hahaha. Sounds like you might have had a bad experience with your car?
WHAT IS NOT COVERED The BMW Certified Pre-Owned Protection Plan provides specific coverage against defects in materials and workmanship. There are various items that are not covered by this warranty for enrolled vehicles retailed on or after September 1, 2017. Vehicle Maintenance Brake pads and rotors (discs), brake shoes and drums; filters; fluid replacement of a component by itself; scheduled maintenance services; spark plugs; wiper blade inserts, blade assemblies/beams. Yes, it has When I bought mine BMW gave me what was left of the Factory warranty which for my vehicle was 3 years or 50,000 miles and they the CPO warranty which covered another 2 years or 100,000 miles, I also bought a maintenance package which was $2,000. They don't any of that stuff anymore @@isaactapia7436
