I forgot to mark the timing chain before removing the cam phasers, reinstalled out of time. This video got me on the right path, it's in time now and running great. 💯
How do you feel about switching the places of the jack and the jack stand? I have the same kind of jack stands but it wears a little the pinch weld and there's also a piece of rubber on the head of the jackstand that has been split apart by the pinchweld. I believe there's no concerns by swtching those two. What do you think ? In addition, how does the pinchweld withstands the slim metal on metal contact with the head of the jack stand ? I feel quite uncomfortable doing so. Thanks for your input and experience feedback.
LOL.👍 for the helper 😎and for how the brake/control arm flew around... I didn't know you're supposed to support them, that's why I'm watching videos :)
Super helpful video, got the stage 2 plus clutch upgrade myself. Didn’t have the springs but had everything else. Haven’t done anything like this before but your video helped guide me right along
Why is this stage 2 Kit different than the gopowersports kit?. I just purchased the stage 2 from them and it has completely different parts. If I'm not mistaken wouldn't it be a stage 1 kit?
Noticed you have not done the torque converter yet any reasons why not? with the governor delete it acts like a cvt and really wakes these bikes up mine broke so it was logical now the muffler broke so hence looking to do intake exhaust next
Hey there... I know this video is quite old--so not expecting an answer in time... or ever, lol..., but great video--in fact you're pretty much the only one I could find that actually shows the struggles of putting it all back together. My mk7 gti, is still on stands as i struggled to get it back together before sun-down yesterday. There is however only one section you didn't show--so let me ask, did you take your spindle off the the 3 balljoints below? In other words, while your vid was showing how you re-seated the strut into the spindle, was your 3-lower ball joints off from the spindle or back in place first? If that makes sense?
what a AWESOME video, everyone already said the same in the comments but I gotta enforce it!!! you made my life so much easier, step by step and covering all small details, great camera placement, thank you a lot for making this video!
Does the plastic spacer come off? I had a so called performance carb like yours but it didn’t work on my application so I ended up putting back the stock carb and it works great.
After doin a set of rockers using special tool..after done I noticed driver chain gets lil slack @ a point then tight wen I rotate..all my pre marks are still there dead on .. is this normal or wat maybe my issue
you made the valve spring part look easy, gonna re watch it when I do 18lbs springs. Only things I would change are doing the rlv muffler instead and zip tie the second gov spring since the springs are now 18lbs
What’s the chatter like on this clutch? I also have a mk7 gli but I need a clutch before I tune, I Was looking at this and the Sachs performance clutch.
Either im just bad or ur really good but i couldnt get the connectors too pull back away from the coil packs. The bundle of wires coming from over the top of the engine doesnt have any slack in it for me too pull them. I got them loose/off but theres not even slack. Im tempted too just put more force into moving them but i have a feeling theres rlly just not enough play:/
This is probably one of the best videos on how to replace the valve springs. Pretty straightforward and detailed. Thank you for taking the time and making this video. Regards,
