Look at that badass Sherwood Phifer guitar! And in such great hands! Man I want one of those badbears so bad! Great musicianship as usual Ronny and company!
Larry, You are definitely in the upper class of iconic masterful maestros of our lifetime! May the good lord continue to bless you with the ability to grace us with your soulfulness and impeccable artistic talents! You are Loved, especially by me. ❤
Met Ronny in Barcelona in 2006. He was very kind and signed all my cd's. A real gentleman. They had swopped the venue a few times, which pissed him off clearly. He tore the roof of the sucker that night (with a trio). One year later, out of shame, the organisers put him as top of the bill on the Voll Damm jazzfestival. Karma! 😗
I agree I like Norman Brown he's one one of my favorites. But he just did a live show...but in my opinion. The sound wasn't as tight or close to his sound on his CD...
I never heard of Ronny Jordan until about 2 years ago when I heard one of his songs on pandora. I bought all of his albums the same day. This guy was amazing!
Although there are still too many people who have not heard his music, no one who has been introduced to Ronny Jordan has not listened to his music once. Legacy lives on.
Gosh... That version of My Favourite Things... Ooooooooooh my... This is BEAUTY. And Mr Peter Daley's chorus... So many killer harmonic & modal ideas. Stunning.
His timing is unbelievable, he can play behind , on and ahead of the bit perfectly and I didn’t even mentioned his phrasing and tone We miss you , r.I.p Legend
Ronny Jordan was the first person to hear my music, when even I hadn't had the courage to show it to the world. He gave me the push I needed, and he was a guide for me. I owe you a lot, and I can never be thankful enough for his help. My name comes from one of his recordings (aftermath). I listened to it daily as I fantasized about one day being able to compose similar music. But I never imagined that I would have the honor of having Ronny as my first listener. Many of my songs are highly influenced by his music and his style. It is my small tribute to one of the greatest. Thank you Ronnie. I hope you can continue listening to my music, as I continue listening to your albums today. But sadly, I can no longer have your advices and support. A hug, teacher, master, wherever you are ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-30Wvr_1Qhys.html
I had the pleasure of promoting a show with him in kansas city at the famous grand emporium.... beautiful warm soul... He was a natural and a innovator.... May his soul rest in power with the musical gods...
