Booming in any game is not necessary at all, because if people wanna argue "then everyone will be at xyz enhancement", all it takes is just removing the shitty mechanic (literally destroying a gear piece and setting it back to 12-star and its impossible to repair without a duplicate item), lets instead shift around the numbers. If you charted out the cost / % chance of getting a 22*/23*/24*/25* item currently, you can literally just reduce the chances of success and replace the boom with a simple "set back to xyz star", and then increase the meso cost accordingly. Its still just as expensive and unlikely for you to reach those stars, just without the stupid "lul your item is destroyed, duplicate pls" mechanic. 0 intended gameplay change, you still gotta be just as rng carried, just less fuck you
@@ashrafulalam3662 Idk but I do know there's plenty of ways you can get creative with duplicate items that nobody needs aside from just selling them. In most mmos tho they usually take the "trash the item" route but thats no fun. One option is allowing deconstruction of the item for "tiered currency" based on the set / where it came from which can be used to buy more items like black flames, cubes etc. Another option is giving them much higher store sale prices but thats also pretty lazy. Exp, damage skins, a single gacha coupon or smth idk but theres literally dozens of options they could take.
