Great video and a steal at £300 dude. I was looking at one for £200 but the frame as a large and had to let it go shame to as these as great bikes to get your hands on too. I’ve just got a cx comp boardman 2016 for a cheeky £90 and stole it at that mates rates. I’ve done a video have a look on my page see what you think thanks Richard.
I got the 2010 XC Expert everything fully upgraded except the fork , rear shock and frame . hope tech 2 brakes , hope pro 4 evo tech xc wheelset , specialized command post , complete zee drive train 1x10 , dmr v8 , nukeproof seat , nukeproof hzn stem , octane one bars , maxxis ardent tyres . It's my pride and joy love it more than my Intense Socom
How do I set it up ? And also if you have the X fusion RC32 on the front. My bike came with it and I'm unable to figure out how to set it up. Thanks in advance.
Hi Personally I favour the cable as bolt cutters will struggle getting clean through in one compression. The weak point on the u lock is the catch inside which is 5mm unlike the cable the can be braced against the post or railing and the shackle hit with a hammer the 5mm lug inside shears off
Hi mate made this video a while back this groups front mech was a fd-t4000 if I remember right a newer alivo version out since then with the m3100 version, don’t get confused thinking the m3100 group is older or lesser than the t4000 version the m3100 is actually the newer better group
Hi there nice review i seen a boardman hybrid selling for £100 it was the mx sport hybrid boardman with front suspension for £100 it did have quite alot of rust on the white forks tho and on a few bolts do you think its worth the money? it was a 2015 model i believe.
@@bubblebobblekd I bought it today got them to knock it down to £90. It must have good quality hubs because the bike rolls for a long time with just a few peddles. Theres play in the peddles and headset i took it to halfords they say i'll need to buy an extra spacer for the headset but they don't sell them. Halfords tried to fit me some new peddles but they couldn't get the old ones off. I manage to clean the white forks off, it wasn't rust after all it was oil and gunk and it needs new peddles so I'm moderately satisfied with the bike for £90
@@fendigucci6307 made up for you mate I just bought some dmr v8 v2 £26 from chain reaction cycles great bike website for your bike stuff mate really cheap when ya get ya pedals off make sure you grease them up where they screw in also get some wd40 on them leave it on to soak in all night then have a go mate
@@bubblebobblekd Thx it's a good bike alot less bumpy than my carrera sulcata 3. I put some wd40 on them before i went to Halfords they could only remove the left peddle.will try that wd40 soak overnight trick.
@@fendigucci6307 halfords cant be beat for bang 4 your buck bikes, but i promise you if you go to a brick and mortar bike shop they will get ya pedal off where halfords couldnt, also think you might be able to get something purpose made to unlock stuck threads.
What a beautiful bike that is . That was my dream bike back then but I couldn't afford her , now I ride a Giant Trance 27.5 ( 2021 ) and look at those bikes with such nostalgy that I got myself a frame of an Ironhorse Warrior 3.1 26" and put a full bike together , exactly like that one of yours , using Rockshox , Hope and Shimano parts only .
Yes mate that Ferrari redgreat, my dream bike was my mongoose super goose 2 bmx, I had that thing tricked out the back wheel broke and it cost a hole £55 to get fixed, which ment it was impossible I could ever get it back on the road being I was only 10 years old £55 was like a million to me back in those days lol.
@@bubblebobblekd Thanks buddy, gonna be using this for summer, transitioning from fixed gear riding so it should be fun being able to get up hills easier, gonna slap some panaracer gravelkings on her and hope for the best on the gravel
Hello! I am in MTB for almost 2 years and I am converting to road bikes....What do you think about CUBE ATTAIN GTC SL 2021 model? - Is it good for beginners? - What is the perfect size for 1.78 cm Height? - Can I do packaging with the bike?
Hi mate I think that would make a great bike also look on Planet X for some great priced bikes, not 100% sure what size you would need need but I’d suggest you would need a size large 56cm, what do you mean by packaging
Plz help buddy is this a air fork cuz just picked bike up with same fork and can’t find info for them anywhere and if is air how to pump them up thanks mate
I'm looking for a full, complete Shimano 2x9 Alivio groupset, including crankset, cassette, chain, derailleurs, shifters, brakes. Unfortunately, I live in Cambodia, where for years I've tried to buy it from the dealers. But bicycle dealers (the most legitimate operators in the country!!) here only want to sell bicycles, and not get involved in service beyond original bike assembly. I've tried ordering it online. I had the package shipped with a tracking number, but tracking seemed to 'disappear' (not an isolated incident in the least here!; it's happened to me many times. There is absolutely zero safeguarding of buyer purchases or supervision in the parcel shipping process. Cambodians simply claim packages from the USA without even knowing what's inside. They figure they can sell it if they don't want it.) once it arrived in Cambodia. I refuse to put fraudulent, Chinese copy parts on my bike, or engage in that activity. OEM Shimano or nothing. Can anyone help me?
I'm going to view a used one next week. 29er mht 8.6 mens. Bought in November lockdown by the chap selling it. He's asking £489 for it. Very little use. Is it worth it?
You need a shock pump. A normal tire pump is low pressure hi volume. And a shock pump is high pressure low volume. I think.i believe I was told that before.
i think you would pay a bit more i paid £800 but that was brand new in last couple of years used bikes have gone up in value id expect to pay £650 - £700 for one in excellent condition
Just looking at buying this bike second hand, can't believe you got it for £370 new, being sold for £400+ after years use of use. Current CX team is £1100 and looks worse and has similar performance.
Yes mate £370 was great should of been more like £470 but you are right that second hand bikes have gone stupid I see people seeking 5 years old bikes for 95% off what the bike originally cost new strange times we are in
