Hi Dave it was nice to see you on the beach this morning. I would like to thank you for the help and time you gave me, boy do i need help lol i put all your advice together and got some nice worms. Again can you thank your mate for the seals🎉👍. I bumped into another one of your friends that had a pump of you walking his dogs.hope to see you soon. Video came out great.
Hi Dave, had a great morning on the beach, beautiful sky, fresh air and pumping the lug again, you just cant beat it on a sunny day. Still lots to learn but with all the help/guidance you are giving us in person and on your channel makes the whole process a lot easier, thank you once again for your invaluable help.
@@hastingsangler watching your videos they are Black and yellows , hence they both when laid out before wrapping turn black, whereas our blow lug they don’t freeze, at moment are tiny, hence the theory of pumping blow, if I get better at it I will post a video 😁😁😁
@@hastingsangler I bought the gopro13, made a start, been twice this year so far, i really want to see it work with the headlamp , i have heard its not good in low light
What a great way to enjoy a sunrise and the best bit was that you made it happen. Passing on skills is so important, a big WELL DONE! for that. Plenty of smiles too. Nice thing to watch on a Sunday. Thank you very much. 🧔 👍
Hi Bob thank you for such a nice post helping others is great fun and dont cost nothing but my time on a morning like that theres no better place cheers👍😀👍
Hi Dav, we had a fantastic time it was great to see you again and what a stunning sunrise. Thank you again for Karry's pump, I don't think it'll be too long before I'm getting my arse kicked. She's definitely pulling them up better now after your advice and guidance. We look forward to seeing you again soon mate. PS, nothing better than pumping with Karry lol 😆 that was hilarious.
Hi Dave, we had a great day pumping, it was such a beautiful sunrise, we appreciate all your help and advice, it's really making a big difference, thank you again for my pump, I love it, great advice on how to dry out the worms as well on your video, and Alan kicked my arse this time!!! 😂.. we will see you soon xx
@@hastingsangler the main shift is 10 mm would make the washers solid then make the hole after they have cured what price dave do you sell 28mm pumps dave s/steel asking for a freind
@@DaveMielczarek hi sorry i only make 22mm pumps that way its easier to buy and make the seals only 1 size as for your seals if you plan to puch through the solid 1s i would make your seal 24mm they will expand once the rod is pushed through and give you room to adjust the pump for pressure good luck
@@richardevans9061 hi Richard I'm a bait pumper lol who uses a pump pump over a fork any time only if the ground is good but what ever way you choose we both collect worms👍😂👍
@@hastingsangler yeah just a definition, great video’s by the way, we don’t have the blacks you do, can you pump blow Lugworm, in south call them commons up north I heard this week call them swimmers, There’s only two types of lug , Blacks and yellows are same species they go into a circle when live and black when dead, whereas blow lug in seawater lay straight and don’t freeze, I’m up in north Norfolk and have a mixture of yellows and blow, and dig in singles, they won’t pump at all, we have some larger blow lug that do pump up, I also use a stainless DS pump 22mm , great video’s keep it up 👍
@@richardevans9061 hi to be honest they are mostly black and yellow tails don't see many blow lug I have seen some of the worms you dig nice size worms mate ds bait pumps are well made it's just them horrible yellow seals I hate they let the pump down
@@hastingsangler hence watching you to replace the seal, I watched your video to make a 20 mm seal from silicone, I might make a video on pumping large blow Lugworm and one on digging with fork singles of whatever they are, a mixture of small yellows, you would throw away, BUT we have extremely few BLACKS , might do one on them too, but I’m not very good at it
Hi just been out for first time with a 22mm pump plenty of cast but no blow holes so how do you know which way the worm is laying in the burrow it was a bad day
@@hastingsangler up at Yorkshire hornsea bridlingtondo I just pump the cast I watch all your videos just couldn't get any what do you think I'm doing wrong will go back out tomorrow and try again
@DaveMielczarek is there others pumping near you if no blow holes it might be like it is down here just a case of 3 to4" away from the cast then try and find the depth good luck
Dood morning dave just made a board to make some silicone washers it's a 22 mm pump I've drilled the holes 19 mm what's the best silicone to use please
Cracking video, what’s your thoughts on copper vs stainless? I’ve pumped using both started with copper then went to stainless but I feel the copper is nicer to use 🤷♂️
Hi Dave, It’s Russell met you on Pett Level beach you showed me how to bait pump. I made some silicone seals for the 22 mm copper pump I have made. They don’t fit to well. Need to make them with a hole in, don’t have enough drying time now. I’m coming down to Pret Level in the next few days, Was wondering if I could buy a couple of seals from you if I see you on the beach. Kind regards Russell
@@hastingsangler great vid btw quality is great as is the info. I can't find the bait bucket liner via the link, seems to be dead. Any other places sell them? Greetings from Fleetwood 👍🏿
Hi Matt if im collecting bait in the morning for fishing the same evening i keep them alive in fresh sea water they will last all day to make them last a few days or more i gut them dry them out on paper then wrap in paper then put in the fridge if dried well they will last all week hope this helps tight lines
I pump blow lug in the north east, simply because I don't know the difference from a blow cast and black lug cast. But the blows I've been getting have been huge 10" or so.
@@hastingsangler yeah I was out at winchelsea last night was a bit tough as I struggled getting past the first sand bar, just kept sinking it was so sloppy. You’re right about it changing though.
Oh mate!! I pump here too. We've probably crossed paths in the past. You ever fished for bass here? at low tide I mean.. :) Sometimes it can be an incredible session (I won't lie sometimes it's rubbish). For the seals in the pump I started using closed cell foam.. the stuff sold as garage mats in halfords works well. I used to cure that silicon sealant in the tube to make neat washers but for pumping it needed constant adjusting with the nut. I never squeeze the guts out of the worm. If the worm has split from the pump i'll chuck it to the gulls. A living worm outfishes a squeezed out one by miles in my experience at least for bass. Keeping them alive in water is a bit of a pain though! All the best..
Hi Mark we probably have mate i often wondered what the fishing is like there seen so many people fishing there but never caught yet another person told me it fishes well 1 day i will have to try😀👍😀 if im fishing low tide up and pumping worms i always keep the worms alive but i found them pesky eels love fresh worms lol tight lines mark👍😀
@@hastingsangler I don't mind a eel! I find it fishes well but only 1 hour either side of low and you need a long cast or an absolutely exhausting wade out. I've spoken to others who say the bass are right at your feet but honestly sometimes its like only a foot of water even 70 meters out and I haven't had any luck when so shallow. Night time is best but as you can imagine when the tide starts flooding in and you are out there in the pitch black it's not what you would call really chill fishing! If I see you out these I might come say hi!
hi what size thread and how long is the shaft best thing you could do is what i use to do is get a mate to cut rod flush then weld a m6 or m8 bolt on the end works a treat👍
@@hastingsangler ok im Pevensey Bay area, I think it is stainless I have a stainless bolt gonna see if I can find somewhere to weld it thank you.. most appreciated..
Hi I think it all depends down on the south east 10" we do get it when they are shallow like that but depends on the weather as long as your getting them keep going 👍👍😂
@@hastingsangler yeah that’s it mate some days it’s hard work but others are good got myself a decent patch up here so I’m trynna get some for freezing for the winter and a few fresh ones for that days session
