The mockumentary is crap and I agree with John when he said "what they've done is burn their own history". But many might counter he already did that by appearing in butter commercials and 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here'🤨
Andy does interesting interviews. He sure remembers a lot. I can hardly remember what I had for lunch yesterday.😅 The part about Brian being the only one anyone noticed on TOTP, I don't really agree with. I do love Brian, but my eyes were almost always on Mick. Steve and Andy had lots of fans also. 🫶🏻
YEAH TINA YOU DIED LAST YEAR ON BOB DYLAN S 82 ND BIRTHDAY IT WAS A SAD DAY YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST I LIKE HOW YOU AND DAVID BOWIE SANG THE SONG TONIGHT BOTH OF YOU REST IN PEACE AND YOU BOB ARE MY MAN I AM HAPPY WITH YOU AND YOU ARE MY PRIVATE DANCER
9:52 Jimmy Page confirmed he played ( also) on this LP in his " Anthology" book. I ordered it immediately on CD. I believe I have it on LP- as well as 6 other LPs/ singles. Hope to see you here in the US!!! PS- I own " Homesickness" from " HMS Donovan" - on tape. Jeff Beck scholars believe Beck is on guitar for the song.
It’s a decent enough interview, but let’s not take things for granted even if you think we already know the facts. It would have been helpful to identify, for the record, the full birth names of both Bono and Edge. The first time I ever heard and saw U2 on TV was on the late Tom Snyder’s late night show.
I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated hearing about Roberts Life. He has such a beautiful way of describing his life events. Touching and humble. The odd tear appeared as well. Has Robert written a memoir yet? I would certainly buy it. Thankyou for this inspiring and intimate interview. I loved it 💗
I wish I would have seen this when It was posted. I always love hearing George talk. always sincere & honest! That's really hard to come by these days. Well, at least we still have these memories along with his heart & music.
I thought the interviewer bordered on being sycophantic. Overall it was interesting. I was in high school when they started playing Cat Stevens on the AM radio here in the States. I played music in bands for a number of years and never really thought about him until I heard about his becoming a Muslim. He comes across as an earnest and intelligent fellow, but he also reminds me of what we used to call a space shot. As far as the fatwa against Rushdie, you don’t need to be a religious scholar to speak up and condemn something that is obviously immoral and terroristic. And as everyone knows, Rushdie eventually was nearly murdered and suffered severe wounds. So it’s not something that can be ignored.
