@RetroPCGamingScotland Hello, awesome content! I am working of a script reading of Asylum and was wondering if I could use parts of this video, specifically some sound effects from fighting, in it? I have no idea how to record my own content of this... I wpuld of course give credit, if you allow me to use parts. ❤
I never played RA1. The long take intro is nice. Just as good as any of the more modern C&C:RAs. The mission and final cut-scene however feel far too gruesome for my taste. Without the over the top presentation this is not funny at all. :(
Fair enough! You have to remember how old this game is. It was a different time. I lived that time, so the movies just seem old and dated to me now. The Remaster sort of cleans them up a little bit.
@@retropcscotland4645 Not saying one mustn't portrait heavy or violent topics. There is value in this. I just don't see it as entertainment. I can see how video games like this in the the 90s and early 2000s were perceived as too violent. Much has changed indeed and video games in general have become very main stream. :)
I remember when it came out. I had either a K6-2 or a Pentium II 300mhz. I tried the demo first, I think it was only a 2 level demo at the time. Now Here I am running it on an i5 on windows 10 lol. How times have changed.
And their shi** h61 motherboards doesn't support 3rd gen CPUs until you update the bios and good luck finding the latest bios and knowing how to update
Best thing to try is wayback machine on the Archive and hope to feck they snap shot it all. I was lucky enough to get a bios update for a socket 1155 to enable it to use ivy bridge chips.
Ahahaha 😂 got two red devils here as well 😅 the N2PAP shown here (although mine is the lite version w/ just 2 slots of DDR) and a MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR. The N2PAP awaits new caps, the K7N2 is already recapped and blasts a 2800 Barton
You should not have to do anything to run a card stable. This falls onto piss poor manufacturing at the manufacturer level and not an end user problem.
As much as the platform allows. 16gb maybe more depending on the board and chipset. If it's ddr2 with only 2 slots it'll max at 8gb if it's ddr2 with 4 ram slots it'll go 16gb. DDR3 is different again even with only 2 ram slots it can take up to 16gb it's normally the 4 slots ddr3's that can take 16gb+.
Great review, only one small note: Jedi Outcast runs fastest when, right before you start it, you uninstall it, throw away the CDs, and proceed to install Jedi Knight or Jedi Academy.
I'm having the exact same issue... I've already tried 2 CPUs (a 6000+ and a 5600+), and I'd try changing the cooler but it's the only AM2 compatible one I have. Did you fix the problem, and if so, how?
No lol. I just decided in the end not to fool with it. If it wants to meltdown it can do it to someone else. I can't afford to lose any hardware over it to expensive to replace in this current climate. I would have tried water cooling but why? Something this old should cool by air.
@@retropcscotland4645 I can keep it fairly cool inside the OS with Cool n' Quiet but the instant I throw some load at it, it jumps to 70ºC and turns off. I've read that it's a common issue with nForce chipsets (too much Vcore) but I haven't seen any solutions. I'll keep looking for one but I'm tempted to just get a decent cooler and see if that helps.
@@LaynusST It could be the Nforce. I came across an ASUS SLi board AM2 that claims to support that cpu. I've got an x2 4400+ black edition in it at the moment running xp 32 bit and it's a sweet machine for xp. Every game I thrown at it paired with an ATi x1950 pro hasn't let me down. I am tempted to dig out that 6000+ and see what it does on the ASUS.
@@retropcscotland4645 I'll try getting a good cooler (the one I currently have is not optimal, but it's the only one I have) and if that doesn't work then I know that it's the board (it's an ASUS M2N MX SE Plus).
I just recently built an athlon 64 x2 in an asus sli board but decided to go with this card singley since it runs at the full x16 1.1 bus for a ....... xp machine. Fun times my friend it can even run the elusive fellowship of the rings pc game without the need for the tweak with analyzer.
hello guy i have a computer with the same integrated graphics SiS650, what other games are playable apart from the ones in the video? How do you run them with dx8? thank you
ACTUALLY there is controller support but it's crap . You can go to REDEFINE and change keyboard WASD with stick movements. But the problem is there's not enogh buttons in the controller for every game instruction input. Meaning You can't use one button for two options.
I spend 3 days to undersood how can i do that! It's easily because there is lot of drivers, bios and info about it on that site, so you know what you saved before going to web archive
Problem is I don't have any matching cards to do so. TBH my love for older hardware has almost gone. You know the problems and issues you run into that start small and end catastrophic.
Thanks not even the manual explained it! I figured it works like that Edit: the version with the fans included comes with its own little board you just have to plug the reset switch to the board on the case and not the motherboard
Bye just got this case waiting on my motherboard to complete my build. Quick question. So the "RESET SW" wire goes to the little board and that way the button works as a RGB controller instead of a reset switch correct? And if I want it to act like a reset switch I attach it to my motherboard?
