Just drove through Flint a few weeks back. Same. In Toledo as well. Why haven't these houses and old strip motels in inner cities been raised by the fire department? That's what is done to condemned housing in my community. Which has lost 4 large automotive factories in the past 3 decades. And is now under 5,000 people.
Wow I've always loved that home yeah I lived in the city my entire life I'm still here I just moved from the southwest area over off Dexter about 6-7 years ago but I'm glad you were able to see your old house thanks for the support
A lot of places in Colorado look just like that . Some of the houses are half gone with people still living inside.!! How have we let are own people down this bad ! We need to come together all colors creeds and religions. We come together as American citizens !
Damn. This really touches my heart. As kids, we would sneak into Woodmere Cemetary thru an opening in the bottom of the fence. It was awesome! We would hang out for hours... So many memories! Thanks for sharing

This area was the worst part of the city in the 80s and 90s it's changed a lot now hasn't it I grew up here in the 80s and 90s and it's nothing like it used to be in southwest
Hence this area is one of the nicer areas in Detroit I got videos in my catalog from the East side that would make silly look like the Ritz-Carlton....

Dude, it makes me so sad. Detroit has been abandoned since the downfall of the automotive industry because there’s so much history there from Europeans bringing red culture to the United States.
Downfall of automotive, haha nope… downfall due to Warlife post-9/11/01, fighting war in Iraq and Afghanistan led to this failure and cities like Detroit due to that and post-war due to cost of living, ask me how having worked under life in corporate life and also supporting Veterans on staggered deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan as a nanny.
I don't know what's funny I'm living comfortable off the six houses I already bought and restored over the last 8 years or so in the city where I've lived my entire life.. now I just sit back and collect money
I wonder who's moving back into the neighborhood only one class of people I can think of who takes pride in their homes I want to live the nice neighborhoods neighborhoods
I was just in Inkster Sunday looking at my house and some abandoned houses in the area. Detroit is coming back! We've just got some scumbags to deal with and things will be all good!
They should definitely be using government grants to preserve those buildings because they don't make buildings like that anymore. Not to that quality you're standard.
This area is actually the most diverse area of the city its majority Latino at like 60% or so then black and white are about equal at 15% of people in this area but Southwest has come a long ways in the last 15 years in the 80s-90s and early 2000s it looked a lot worse than this
Dayton OH is worse, my childhood home is the only one occupied in the whole neighborhood. Most houses arent even standing anymore, looks like a war zone. Packs of coyotes run the streets near railroad tracks as well. With all the homelessness its beyond SICK.
