@@EdgyPuer its spamming crouching and running. In Alien Isolation you can run while making no sound this way. It only works when you run a bit slightly to the right i believe. In other games its used to get mor momentum, for example ghostrunner

I try and turn on all the radios... One of my theories is, if all the radios are on, it can make my footsteps less detectable. I don't think the Alien even heard the radio when I turned it on. On that mission, there are four radios. Three start in the OFF position. One in the generator room. One in the sleeping quarters. One in the kitchen. There is one in the Mess Hall but its already on.

I don't think they have a way to do that. I was wanting to retry some Boss levels too... It seems they are stored somewhere because they are numbered... Guess you could try asking Popcore (the makers)

on the mainframe level. THat... is the only time I have encountered the Alien in a special "Tip toe" sneak mode. It is the most creepy thing in the entire game. You turn around and the alien is within 3 feet of you tip toeing... and starring at you and being very quiet. I dropped my controller and nearly fell as it grabbed me I am still waiting to video it and capture it... when it happens again. BUT... I have determined that the level is partially scripted... When you get near the console that turns on the Mainframes... the Alien will go for the vent. Sometimes it sees you when u come in the double doors and it will go for the side vent if you stay ducked and around the table... Then when it drops back down it may sometimes RUN to the spot you crouched or stood up after he had went up. So some glitches occur on Safe Haven for sure... What happened was... they REDID the order of levels at some point and took out a thing that gives the rewards and replaced it with a reward cart. When they did this... the SOUNDS on level 7 (in the maintenance area) were not moved to level 3 (the rescue) so if you do both level 3 and 7 in Maintenance you hear the sounds from lvl 3 of the guy banging on the glass even though no one is there. They also made it so the elevator you come in on.. is the one you also leave on instead of the 2nd elevator (which was the original). two pickups in maintenance... are worth 0 points (one on a cart near double doors beside the side vent) and another on the open drawer in same room near the generator and dead body and below the container. In Apartments, the single flare (which is always there .. and the two pipebombs in the snack bar kitchedn are worth 0 points ... I get the pipebombs... but the flare being 0 is baffling.) There is a glitch that CAN occur on level 8 (where you encounter 4 armed men) if the door eats the men after being killed... the game can and will glitch to where the computer in the safe room does not come on. OR... it can come on and skip level 9 (sabotage the generator room). As for the 2nd alien on the mainframe level... if you run or make a sound it WILL drop early and you will have to deal with both aliens swapping in and out while you try to hack the mainframes. A 3rd bug can happen here... After the first mainframe (of 3) if you are crouching and using a controller... you can hack the mainframe.. and then a serious glitch occurs where you can no longer access inventory, raise the flame thrower, or use the motion tracker. In fact, you can no longer move correctly and it goes the opposite way... interacting with things are limited to the point the buttons dont show. However, there is a way around this bug... I've yet to test it... but I'm 100% sure it will work. two things. Have a flare in hand... (one work around) instead of the flame thrower... Also, have the flashlight ready to swap out batteries... THAT action.. can reset most of the ducking/vent/controller bugs that render the flame thrower useless or unable to use. I have had the inventory bug pop up on Safe haven from crawling into a vent while in duck mode and then out... only to be unable to access the inventory when I couldn't raise the weapon. Resetting the flashlight saved the game and restored the flame thrower. THat might also work in Mainframe with the bug. I'm currently looking for secret pickups that are well hidden.. I Found ONE pickup (random loot too) hidden on the DLC Lost Contact. It was well hidden on ground level... out of sight (you actually cannot see it physically)... and just inside a grating along the side of a wall. Hey... it's an extra 50 points. I found a co-relation to trying to raid containers first and leaving "pathway" items that are worth 50 points alone.. until the very end. I usually try to get items that are NOT going to be on my paths later.. out of the way first so as to not return to those areas... This is in hopes that the containers (including dead bodies) will have more items or at least one thing on them... I hate empty containers... I found it to be somewhat true... so at this point I still try new things to explore ways to increase the chances items will be in those containers. The faster you hit containers also the better... there are 3 downstairs on Mainframe level that seem to never have anything in them on level 8 or even 10. Same is true for lost contact... on level 8, 9, and 10. Sucks because you can only access that last room downstairs around level 8 (the robots+ alien one) for the first time. So I'm always trying to find a way to get stuff out of those containers. I have seen items in there before... Must have really had a bad scrap pile up day on items in pathways... that led to items being in there back then. My high score run is probably the run I found things in those. btw.. sorry for the long read. When it comes to these two DLCs I play them the most... and know the little glitches, bugs, and item problems of each. @50 points each I look for every "legit" advantage to earn points without using any kind of special exploit or hack. Getting ranked 4th (on Lost Contact) if you exclude the obvious cheaters... is to me at least not bad work. I'm probably 6th or 7th on Safe Haven without cheaters on the list... and 9th with them. Sigh

@@d0nKsTaH No, im impressed acually! I like that you describe you're way of way of playing it, aswell as the diffrent notes you've made through out you're playthroughs. It's only interesting for me to hear some one else point of view, especially someone that likes to dig deep into the subject, witch you seems to be really good at. It's cool I think that you're so high up on the high score aswell! The main thing is the fact that you enjoy the world of Alien/Aliens. I'm a big fan my-self as you may have noticed, even if i'm not as good as you are. I hope to see you playing Aliens: Fireteam Elite when it comes out. I'd would like to have such a dedicated and serious player onboard, so if you want to we can start a squad one day. If you ever would feel like it of course! You're always welcome to join me if so. I love Alien: Isolation btw, and the tension in it is amazing! i really hope the new aliens game will be fun too. It will certanly be a very diffrent experience from Isolation. I still have high hopes for it to be a fun ride, but it won't be as scary as Isolation. That's kinda obvious. That game is a work of art IMO. Isolation really takes the price when it comes to well done horror/survival within the world of Alien/Aliens games. The new Aliens Fireteam will be something else. It's only like two weeks before release now! :]
