So I'm now on my 3rd 4runner, my first one was a green 01 limited and it was all stock but lots of fun, then I had a 99 sr5 which was also alot of fun but all stock, and now I have a 99 limited with the factory e locker and my god the e locker makes a huge difference. I just took my 4runner up and did some of the most intense wheeling I've done personally in any rig and it just handled it like it was easy! didn't spin tires or anything didn't even have to put it in 4 low either and it just kept on crawling up everything. My other 2 4runners were good but they wouldn't have made it as far as this one did the other day. I was always impressed by 3rd gens but now I know that these are truly one of THE best offroad/on road vehicles you could ever own
Just my opinion you shouldnt use red black and yellow wires for speakers and remote . I know for your personal se yes but as a instructional video no . Beginners are gonna get confused or end creating a short .
Thanks for the video man. I got a 2017 v6 Tacoma. I had to fill coolant twice… once I want to say like 8months ago with about quarter gallon, then just recently with about same. I find this a little unusual to I took it to the dealer, they did a check I don’t thin pressure check or cilindro check. But did do a coolant change. Week later I noticed the level down about quarter inch from full line on expansion tank. Should I be concerned for a gasket leak? Dealer said it’s all good, and that coolant can evaporate? It’s not overheating, no obvious smells or leaks, or white smoke. Had truck since new, now 91k miles
Beautiful. I’m Jelly. 😢 It’s like therapeutic working on these trucks and seeing the progress. Awesome upgrade. Even though they last a long time, there is less and less of these trucks each passing year. Good job!
I've had 3 4runners now, and this 3rd one I have is a factory e locker truck and man it's fuckin awesome!! It's just like my first 4runner but this ones a 99 limited and my first was a 01 limited. Couldn't be happier with the e lockers performance.
I know this was 3 years ago But stay away from the multisided led bulbs. They never work to match the same beam pattern as oem. And stay away those cheap no IP rated T10 led bulbs. I highly recommend Lasfit - LA plus, LC plus, or LS plus for ur headlights. Since they have two sided with tiny little CSP led chips. They will perform well and easily outperform against those horrible led bulbs. And get ur hands on sylvania - zevo T10 if u want reliability and longevity with a good brightness, or if u want scortchingly bright, get Lasfit - L series T10 led bulbs. Definitely recommend for ur 4Runner.
What fluid do you recommend for the manual. I saw on the carfax that that fluid was changed around 80K Just turned 110K. I went to the a high mileage synthetic, is that necessary for a Tacoma? I will get to both diffs, thanks for your advice. Well done with great detail, much appreciated!👍
I wonder if my outlander can handle this trail, it's rated as able but everyone here is driving something so much bigger! I drive to Squamish here and there and never knew this place existed :O
Is the extra filter necessary? Also what if you want to bypass the stock cooler, how would you run it? Feed side to bottom of the external? Then new return line connected to the old return line?
Nice to see a video about new toyota tacoma thats not being hated on or broke just to get views .been working for chrysler for 39 years as tech have always driven ram nice trucks.bought 2024 trd off road no regrets at all. Good video
@@jeffkeryk3550 definitely check to see the offerings Lasfit has. Jump on the website and check fitment for your vehicle. I believe your truck has a 9003/H4 bulb, but double check.
