Removing comments that give you constructive feedback just because you don't like them is NOT the way to run a RU-vid channel, especially one attempting to make video game guides. 0/10 try something different buddy.
Personally, I swapped the one point in Lethality down to 5/5 Seal Fate. I feel like that's a better bonus to have over that 6% crit dmg. Rather be building guaranteed combo points.
Great video, just some constructive feedback on the audio: you're using a noise gate or noise removal thats cutting off the ends of your sentences, its tough to listen to. consider adjusting it :)
Hey man, you have a bit of old info. Yes, Eskhandar's right claw is bis but you don't necessarily want a slow main hand! With this talent tree, the on-hit damage of saber slash is very low and poison damage is very high, which doesn't necessarily make slow or fast weapons good, it makes GOOD weapons good. Implacable blackguard, for example is a 1.4 speed sword and also an excellent main hand in this build.
Also don't garotte, it's a DPS loss because it's low damage and it only gives you carnage for a single cast of saber slash and only for the on-hit portion vs just getting your 3 stack rolling a few seconds earlier.
"Oh God no ! Ferals are starting to beat Rogues ! Fast Aggrend ! leave that 5th KFC box alone and stealth buff Rogues!" - The Intern working on Classic (Only on the weekends).
@@octsober 10k ambush crits and 8k backstabs don't care about poisons ;) The real reason SS and Mut pull ahead is that so many bosses require off-boss time where poisons and DoT are still doing damage. I rip way past mut and ss builds when I can stay on boss all fight
Yes, garotte open is a DPS loss but SS weaving is a bad choice with HAT builds. You're just asking to drop your perfect snapshotted bleed, which is WAY, WAY, WAYYYYYYYYY more of a damage loss than hitting saber slash when you need combo points and you have 3 stack already.
@@SAPP3D why tho? I never got that argument. The only difference is you press a different looking icon and you don't have to maintain rupture, which was the most interesting aspect of mut since you had to juggle that with snd. Also Mut feels so much better to press than SS - the Sound effect and impact is bigger than ss Ss you just press ss and envenom. All 30 seconds or so you refresh snd. How is that not boring?
Good video. For dungeons/trash packs I would definitely go Shuriken Toss. Shuriken Toss + instant 5 point Crimson Tempest is very useful. And one more thing: You don't necessarily want a slow main hand weapon. The Jaw Breaker from LBRS t0.5 boss is very good for example, same goes for the Implacable Blackguard. Faster speeds also mean more poison procs.
The claw it's just so good though. It's a slow weapon and has the chance to increase attack speed by 30%. Slow hard hitting weapons also benefit a lot from wind fury strikes which is more accessible now since wild strikes is raid wide.
YES everyone keep going mutilate and saberslash pls. backstabb wont be meta. but i group with this 1 rogue on wild growth he was out pumping other rogues as back stab he always say he going to make backstabb meta.. Lol!
There have been a few hotfixes and buffs since the recording of this video. Mainly a shadow buff to Saber Slash that makes it more powerful than Mutilate, as well as a nerf to Focused Attacks. New video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xO5VqLXAg8o.html
I was just reading about this. Do you happen to have any videos or advice on someone who leveled a Rogue as an alt and is looking for "decent" gear (understanding you may not be in MC since it isn't your primary character)? My main is a geared Paladin that I raid with but I love playing a Rogue for fun :)
@@imocd I don't have anything talking about gear. But here is a Wowhead article talking about Best BiS for both raid and pre-raid for Rogues: www.wowhead.com/classic/guide/season-of-discovery/classes/rogue/dps-bis-gear-pve
Mutilate is no longer out dpsing saber slash, people discovered the buff that they applied to saber slash bleed damage, it is a dps increase to about 300dps with same gear
You obviously know what you're doing, so I'm gonna assume you recorded this before the Focused Attacks nerf. Good explanation on Poison Knife btw. I've had to argue/scold guild rogues on this lmao
This build centers around backstab and Ambush, which both require daggers. I would center your ring runes around at least one of the weapons you are using, either Sword or Fist. As far as the other one, if you are using poisons, go with Nature, otherwise it's up to you. Although I've not tried having both a Sword and Fist rune on, from the way the tooltip reads I don't think you can go with both.
Pretty straightforward guide and most of it is accurate. However, HAT is 100% the correct rune for SSL in a raid setting. The proper way to play it is to race to 3 stacks of SSL then pool energy while casually using SS. This will allow you to almost spam envenom as 1 SSL/SS can generate 3 CP from SF and HAT and if you get a Ruthlessness proc, you are sitting at 4 after ~ 1 second/global. HAT procs again, allowing you to keep envenom up majority of the fight.
Don't know why you say Backstab is boring? In Dungeon it is more useful than the other because the mops life not so long. I do more dps with Backstab as Multilate in Dungeon.
There's a big difference in useful and boring. .. and dungeons don't matter. This is a phase 4 Pve focus video where backstab is the most boring and the least dps play style for a rogue
I don't think Backstab is boring. But I haven't been able to get it up to the numbers that Mutilate does in Raids (but I'm also not the best geared). I do use it for dungeons and PVP.
Darn. I was disappointed to realize that this is a SoD video. I’m a Classic Andy and am not into runes. To me, SoD is Classic with a heavy load of retail sprayed all over it.
hybrid builds on some classes were always the best. Hunter was always Marksman and survival split for pvp. Used to use similar builds for rogue, great video!
