Zelah Clarke is my favourite Jane Eyre - I like and respect her the way Zelah Clarke plays her. And the same goes for Timothy Dalton's Rochester - increasingly likeable. You have made a great little video here candle2stan.
I so agree. He is a brilliant actor. I love this Jane Eyre 1983 dvd. Me and two friends recently spent the whole afternoon watching it from start to finish. It really grabs the attention. And I love this song and video. Even though I prefer Roxette's original, this one is acousic and really fits. Thanks for making the video!

This was the first version of 'Jane Eyre' I ever saw after reading the book, and I have a huge soft spot for it, despite its dated production values. Very good video.
That was marvelous! I'm so glad that there are other people who appreciate that adaptation of JANE EYRE. I just watched it yesterday and still feel it is the best. Timothy Dalton is THE definitive Mr. Rochester. The scenes were edited very well to go with the lyrics and thanks for not spoiling the ending for others who have yet to discover this wonderful film. Great job!

This is why I want to become an actor. Timothy Dalton is the best influence any boy or girl can have. This is the movie that made me shiver and shake. How can people say Sean Connery is the best Bond, maybe he looks good but Dalton is the best actor in the whole world. And I will be an actor, Dalton will forever be my biggest influence.
What a wonderful music video! I LOVE this movie adaptation of the novel, and you set the music to it superbly. It was a nice treat that you added in the speaking parts here and there. They fit so perfectly and matched the lyrics of the song. Marvellous work!
This this was the best adaptation of Jane Eyre, and I speak as a huge fan of the novel. Welles' version was good, but that was down to Joan Fontaine's portrayal of Jane. here again it seems chemistry is what makes it work - Zelah Clark as Jane and Timothy Dalton as Rochester works well; and you can see that both are troubled souls, not something regularly referred to in adaptations. Love it and I love the video too, as a lot have said already brilliant song for it. :O)
