Whats up!? My name is Chris & thanks for checking out the channel. I currently own a 2020 Harley Low Rider S & a 2014 Harley Sportster XL883L. Check out my build series playlists for my current & past bikes! I post review videos, install videos, and good ol' fashioned motovloggin' videos.
I come from Sportbike riding prior to the Harley ownership so I have a diverse interest in motorcycles.
Follow along on my bike builds & let me know your thoughts in the comments! If you wanna chat about something specific Instagram is the easiest way to send me a message. Don't hesitate to request something specific or to ask more detailed questions about an install I did or a product I'm using. Thank you! Ride Safe, Have Fun....Dad OUT.
Old video, but I did risers on my Low Rider S and changed out the upper brake line and had to bleed the brakes. Used a hand pump (mightyvac) and had absolutely no luck. No pressure in my front brakes at all. Went to my local HarborFreight and bought this same pneumatic brake bleeding kit for $30, bled both sides twice, and finally have the full brake pressure back. Since I'm positive that I introduced a lot of air in the ABS system in the initial bleed process with the mightyvac, I'm still taking it to Harley to have them purge the ABS system (better safe than sorry). But this video helped me out a TON to get my front brake pressure back. Thanks for the video.
I use that bag everyday but I use the big pocket at the top, easier to access specially if you add a some paracord to find the zipper faster, love it, I can give 2 shits what people think I look like 😂
To put a another dagger in your back these manufacturers charge ABSOLUTE LUDICROUS amounts for these air cleaner assemblies! AND YES, I've worked in a machine shop since I was 18 and I'm now 60 yrs old. I know what it takes to set-up a CNC and the cost of SS and ALU and it's still fkg crazy! And it's not just Trask! As long as riders/ owners continue paying these prices then they gotcha...sadness...
Me personally I would not use red or blue loctite, I know the instructions may say so but me I like using orange since it is high strength but removable but great video, the air cleaner in red isn’t available so I am waiting either Fueling or trask
I’ve used orange here and there for some stuff and I don’t realize a big difference between it and blue in my experience so I just keep using blue for the most part. But I have been using orange here and there.
@@RidinDad nothing wrong with that and I am sure blue would do fine for most of my applications, the parts store didn’t have blue at the time so I bought orange and never looked back but something is way better than nothing
Just picked this one up in onyx carbon. Definitely an amazing helmet just snug fitting especially with the cheeck pads however I think it’s an incredible helmet with Pinlock included
Hell yeah!!! I know everyone was out of stock for them for about a year when I needed them, but the smaller profile cheek pads should be in stock now and even if they are slightly too small for you after they get broke in, you could always use the airing up function, and they should fit perfectly after that
i installed this exact light on my low rider st. its awsome but i have the same problem he had with the old light. ive been told its hard to see the signals during the day. but also i have a permanent warning light now because i had to hard wire the light in. eagle lights doesnt make an adaptor so it kind of annoying to see the warning light
@@RidinDad its throwoing B2161h brake lamp output open. my bike is a 2023 and i havnt found anything on how to fix this, unless i buy i completly new tail light. the only one that i can find that has an adaptor and doesnt throw any codes is from moons mc
alright, thought about it for a minute. Aria or shoei it is when the time comes again. Even Sedici looks alright. I heard the strada 3 is good. Whatever it is, it needs a sun visor.
Yeah sedici has stepped their game up. Being an in house brand for revzilla allows them to have a lot of feedback from testing of theirs and other helmets that they listen to I feel. I haven’t tried one of them yet but they’re on the list for sure.
Agreed. If you like the look and don’t care about the safety aspect of it then have at it! It’s just not worth it to me though. I think they look badass on old school chopper type builds but I would never put one on a bike I actually ride
Just came upon this video great explanation of both topics. Interestingly enough I had modified my 96” twin cam and started noting more oil into my air kit. I did a fair amount of research on vented dipsticks and trans covers. I installed the A1 Cycles vented dipstick and rode the bike for 1500 miles. Removed the air cleaner and noticed a marked decrease in blow by residue. Very minor amount not worth doing anything further. Reason I went with the A1 it was half the price of feulings dipstick. Do you have any thoughts on either product the A1 does not have a check valve the feuling does. Bikes been running great perfect oil pressure too. Not worried about dumping with a twin cam but I do keep an eye on it no symptoms at this time
Wish trask made Verner transmission covers for v-twins with big displacements and higher compression ratios looking to go from a 96” to a 110” just think an once of prevention is worth it
Seems like a lot of people are telling you that you talk too much and you don't like the feedback...welcome to the internet...anyway, I won't be as rude as some of the others but I do agree you sort of rambled on at times. Just trying to give constructive feedback...I don't need a snarky reply, but if you must feel free. Anyway, I'll be trying to trailer a bike hopefully soon and this did at least give some helpful pointers, so thanks at least for that much....
Glad it helped. This is also a very old video of mine so I e evolved some of my editing/camera speaking. The problem is not with constructive criticism. It’s with rude ignorant people. It’s completely free not to watch. I understand this is the internet which is why I reply in the same way I receive the comments
@@RidinDad well how can a person know how good/bad a video is without watching it first?? lol anyway it's all good man...as the old saying goes, don't feed the trolls.
It’s a very functional and useful tour pack. It’s also a quick detach so I don’t have to have it on the bike all the time. That’s the beauty of the fact that I own this, I can do whatever I choose to with it just like you could with your own stuff.
Bro I got the moons mc integrated as well but no harness so my stock set up that plugs in doesn't work will u please send me the step by step which wires go where do mine can work ? Thank u and thank u for your demos you been a big help!!
You’ll need the h4 headlight adapter. Amazon sells them. I have a few videos with the process shown for headlights like that and they include links to the headlight adapter too
I use a dab of silicone rtv on those washers. After they come off after being tightened once they leak like mofos. A little sealant on The washers won’t do nothing unless you wipe a butload directly into the ports lol. Can’t go wrong here…
You said you were on the shorter side to enjoy forward controls.. How tall are you and what’s your inseam? I’m 5.10 and was thinking of ditching my mids for forward. I feel a little cramped up after an hour or so… but I also have a bobber solo seat which doesn’t help. Thanks in advance…
What is n9? What clever are you talking about? I don’t know if it’s typos but there’s a lot I don’t understand about this. Sorry, trying to answer you !
Hi, I’m about to trailer a sport bike and picked up some regular ratchet straps, how would you recommend I use them for the front tie down? I ask because it looks like the straps you used don’t have the metal hooks that come with “regular” ratchet straps. Thanks!
You can do what I just did with the hooks also instead of looping it around, but if you have very skinny ratchet straps like the typical straps you buy for a few bucks at the store then I would not recommend doing it with those because they are just too flimsy. You can do the old-school train of thought. It’s just going to not be great, but you can only use what your straps are capable of doing.
May be asking too soon, but did you just get the clutch kit? Or did you add the billet drive hub they offer? Im curious if adding it is worth it or if the one pre installed on that kit was good enough. Also trying to avoid tracking down a press
First time using the squeeze bottle and I did the same thing over oiling it, it was leaking a little onto the frame of my bike. Hoping after dabbing it with a microfiber for a little bit it should be good haha
I’m 5’10” on a 23’ Softail Std with a Saddleman step-up and 13” works for me and a 15” would probably be even better but I can cruise 80mph on highway and not get any of that Buffeting. It’s weird how it’s so different across the board for everyone.
Thinking about buying the explorer RS for my 2016 heritage softail. Same thing it just has the pillow top look. I like to sit deep down into the bike which is why I like softails. I hope the seat keeps that feeling.
Chris, great video. Currently has belt drive n recently discovered that my rear belt pulley has slight bent whivh attached(stamped ring) on back side of oem pulley during my routine maintenance from HD dealer. They recommend strongly to replace a new oem pulley. I am in the fence post considering going with chain conversion if possible. Questions , once I installed a chain drive, do i need to re- dyno my bike, furthermore, can i still utilize belt cover with chain drive, and woould this grease sling all over the rear n especially my clamshell saddlebags? Appreciate your feedback.
I will pretty much always recommend a chain conversion. It’s just my style. As far as getting the bike on a dino, no you do not have to get a different tune because it would change nothing, even if you went with a different gear ratio you still would not have to change the tune because, the engine itself is doing the exact same work. It’s just the final drive ratio that has changed if that makes sense. Yes, I have known people that still utilize the belt guard with the chain. I don’t think it’s necessarily advised because the chain moves and kind of slaps around a lot. But I know people that have kept it on for several hundred miles with no issue. I removed mine instantly obviously. As far as grease getting all over your bike, not if you use good products and you don’t over apply. I have used maxima spray wax with amazing results. No sling off. Just don’t over apply. I use muc off degreaser to clean it and remove old wax
Hi Chris, AWSOME video. What gear ratio with front n rear sproket for 20 low rider s? I want to keep it stock configuration unless you have better suggestions. Appreciate it.
All right, so if you want to keep it stock, you have a couple different options for the most part. Any chain conversion kit you decide to go with should tell you what the stock gearing is for you to get a comparable set up. Weather is Speed Kings, Bulkin, Bung King, sprocket center, any website should give you what the stock gearing would be as an option
