Hi to all of my subscribers and future subscribers, I have renamed my channel on RU-vid and also my social media profiles too. the reason?? well, when I first created the channel I chose a bit of a gimmick name (Amature Carper) but in all honesty, I have changed it to a more relevant name that represents what my channel is really, which is a diary of my cap fishing sessions and product unboxing and reviews.
Had a pair of these ( Riot 65) back in the noughties, I got rid pretty sharpish as the line had a propensity for getting behind the spool, and the front drag was not the smoothest... I went with the Shimano 10000XTE's then swapped those out for Wychwood QD 5500 For my Dwarf 9' ers
Just been looking at reviews of this barrow came across it on amazon lol 2020 you made this review it will be great to hear if you still have this great vid pal
Thanks for the video! Got interested in carp fishing after watching the ‘23 world championship at Panneciere in France this past week, and your video provided me with all the information I need to have a go at it myself. And I really appreciate your emphasis on carp care. Thanks again!
I know im late to the party but i thought id comment as i found your video very helpful. Ive always used baitrunner reels but last year i decided to stop using the bait runner feature and just use the front drag on my reel and i much preferred it. Ive just purchased the wychwood riot 65s which are a bit smaller than yours, not sure how much smaller as they havent arrived yet but im looking forward to trying them. How did you find adjusting the to the longer casting? Also did you do the qucik drag change in the end?
Thanks for this review. New to carp foshing at 43 and this is just what i need. Wofe likes to come with me to read a book so need to keep her warm and dry for peacful fishing sessions.
Sorry for the late reply, been hugly busy with a new venture. New Video comming real soon. so the short bar would be when you put your butt rests and the longer bar for the Alarms. That way it spreads the rod tips slightly
Hi mate quick question? How did you start Carping. Personally I was introduced to float fishing for anything thats swims. Then progressed to Carp fishing and Specimen size fish after a year or two. This was now 36 years ago. I think you spend to long worrying about your tackle and not enough time fishing. Get out their the fish don't care what sunglasses your wearing or which tackle you promote. Tight lines and if your ever down south give me a shout, I can put you 100's of waters to catch a twenty.
To be honest with you, very similar for myself started sea fishing on boats and float fishing at a young age. I then got one Carp rod and fished 2 rods, then after about 10 years I move to Carp fishing 100%. my channel has a few purposes. 1) To record my progres on different venues and using different tactics and show others some of the real struggles there is when fishing new or current venues 2) To help others with rig videos, show different tackle and do reviews on stuff so people can watch and ask before they shell out their money 3) promote products/brands that I have tried thier tackle and think its a good item/items I do know i speand alot of time on certain things but I enjoy the passtime and really enjoy showing others that are interested too am not in a rush to go out and catch 20's, 30's, 40's I just take it slowly. sure thing if i am down your way ill be sure to give you a shout :)
There brilliant, just had them out again on a 72hr session with rain, thunder and some varied weather and I lef them out the whole time with no issues 👍
@@MarksCarpFishingDiary thanks for replying mate. I ended up getting some prolific ones as I needed them quick and tackle shop gas them. I’ve got digital aswell but the auto shut off after a min is no good
I wouldn't be without it tbh, I have the Fox R Series brolly which I have just got for days and single over nighters. but anything more and ill be using this still :)
Cheers, horseshoe is a great lake. way back when I first fished PoolBridge Farm 10+ years ago thats the only lake I fished. still a great lake now as it was back then
Hi I just bought one and am stumped on what way the ground sheet is meant to sit I've tried it in most positions and can't get the velcro to line up. Had you any problems wit it?
yep, had a similar issue my self to be honest. I usually put it all together with the tension poles and just 1 peg in the back then find the right way that it goes in then eg the rest down. if I am being honest I dont use the groundsheet much.
I have the whole system and really like it. The only downside to it is Fox don’t do an overwrap for it which is a shame in my opinion but other than that it’s a good bit of kit 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I really like it so far, never had a Brolly type bivvy before. tbh I get your point about the wrap, I never really bothered with overwarp on my bivvys as I sleep with the door open but yer would be a nice addition.
@@MarksCarpFishingDiary if it had an overwrap I’d use it all year round. Unfortunately I have to take a bivvy when it’s the colder months that has an overwrap. Other than that it’s a good bit of kit like I said 👍🏼👍🏼
bro i'm french i bought the same ones but the buttons don't turn i have to press them but i don't know how to turn them on even by pressing them... would you?
Hey man, Sorry I have been MIA. had a knee op before xmas so took some time off for recovery and just ready now to get back too it. my latest video has just dropped. :)
hey man, there is a waiting list to get on but if you contact them they might have a few tickets available for this season. also they dont do day tickets am afraid. good luck
I bought a set last winter and used them heavily the entire year. I fish 3-4 times a week and in summer almost every evening. I abused the hell out of them and they are still in great shape running into the winter. I used the same battery all year. I always kept spare batteries with me but never used them. I did put fresh ones in before a tournament this fall but I probably didn’t have to. Yes the do feel cheap. I felt the same. They were worth the purchase. Will they be just as good next season? Don’t know. But I would recommend based on this year. I caught a ton of fish and the held up. Here in the U.S our conditions can be rough fishing giant waters and rivers and many spots are a bit dodgy. I give them 4/5 stars for the cost.
