Hey everyone, welcome to my channel. Here I share experience on various Microsoft Office 365 systems which include PowerApps, Flow, PowerBI and SharePoint.
Thank you so much for joining the channel and please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
I didn't realize I would find the solution to all of my problems in this video. Watching this in August of 2024 and this method just helped me pull 89k records from SQL during a test. Just with the simple method that you shared, Dawid, it can be utilized into different more ways. THIS IS AMAZING. THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING VIDEO! So sad to see that you haven't uploaded recent videos on your channel. :(
Hi Dave. I have installed the compoent in my environment. The demo app works fine; however, when I insert the comp[onent into my app I run into a problem with the visibility property of the component (!IsEmpty(colDialogInstructions) || !IsEmpty(colDialogResponses) || !IsBlank(Last(Filter(colFunctionQueue, functionActive)).action) ). I get error messages that colDialogResponses, colFunctionQueue and functionActive aren't recognised. Do I need to initialise them in my App.OnStart property ?
Nice video! I have a query, if I have a combobox where l search in Office users for the name and I have other textinputs that depending on the user I choose, automatically fill these fields such as position, department, etc. However, I have a problem, it only returns the data of the first 100 users even if I use the top function since I handle about 650 users. How could you make it show the information of all users and not just the top 100? Thanks!
I am struggling with the "work phone" number that appears on the Outlook365 contact cards. Do you know how I can get that please? Not the mobile number, but the work phone ie: desk phone
Apparently, the outputs are different in the production version of this action compared to the preview. no such luck with the Table1 option. I put it in as the flyover expression, and its a no go. Anything that requires schema is always a mystery of syntax, and luck when you get the right combination of syntax between body, output, and schema. Its one of the most frustrating parts of power automate, and this completely breaks the development without needing to be a programmer vision of PA.
I wonder if Power Apps can do forms similar to Microsoft Access - a form with sub form showing one-to-many relationships between tables. E.g. parent record with children, event record with participants as children, etc.
I have three parameters I'm sending to a stored procedure. I created the initVar... steps as outlines, and when I test the flow Power Automate lists 9 variables I have to fill out. If I delete those steps and use the Ask In Power Apps in the Execute Stored Procedure step, I have to fill out 5 required variables.
When I imported component in the app without component library, it gives error "Expected a different collection record structure", I'm using Authoring v 3.23053.41
Great video Dave. Just to point that here the Asterisk validation wouldn't be an issue once we have the Submit button disabled until all fields completed :)
looks like MS have change the default error message from "An entry......etc,etc,etc......and try again" to "<data field name> is required" i.e. ExpenseAmount is required.
just started the tutorial, you mention at the begin (and I think you mentioned it in the first video) using PATCH to commit data? Would be good to explain what PATCH is at the start of the video 👍 (....on with the video)
Your PowerApps videos are great. Also really liked the pulling-out-your-hair joke. It looks like you have stopped making videos which is a bit of a shame =(
Thanks in a million! Very well explained. This is the nth time that I am watching this again. Great content. Awesome. I couldn't find this explanation--simply put anywhere else. “Great teachers are hard to find”. Grade: A++ 💥
Hi, this video is very helpful , but I'm facing issue . I'm following every steps you mentioned.. I'm not passing any parameter from powerapps. When I'm collecting the response back in collection I'm getting boolean value as true. I can see the output in Automate but it's coming as boolean in collection.. I have been struggling with this issue since two days.. please let me know I'm going wrong. What approach I should follow.. I'm able to add the records to sharepoint list it works there but not in powerapps.. please help me
How do you get the email from a GUID since the Offcice365User.UserProfileV2 doesn't accept GUID as a parameter. All I have stored is the GUID and it gives an error if you pass GUID into this even if it does return the email. It appears functionality that works, but give you an error that it's not supported. This is the function that works, but gives you an error: Office365Users.UserProfileV2(ThisItem.UserGUID).displayName However, I can't find a way to get the email address from the GUID that was stored when the record was created. Thanks!
Ahh, thank the Lord. You helped me with my PowerApp image not being displayed for end users which I'd searched and searched for a fix. You are the best!!!
