Hello, I am Vincent - Foosing in Hong Kong since 2004. I play for Team HK and was one of the players in Team Asia in Intercontinental Cup in 2018.
Foosball is a very competitive game, where it keeps your body active and enhances eye-hand coordination skills. And it allows you to spend more time with family and friends. No matter what your age is, you will always find this little table really entertaining.
For me, it is one of the most fullfilling passions, that's why i decided to share my knowledge, so that everyone could get the most out of a foosball table.

Dead man on a fireball table which is what this table is, is actually a bigger hole for dead man, compared to the standard tornado. And the way to defend a Deadman stroke is by not leaving a dead man defense with just one man on that long zone. The goalie tender is the key to blocking all shots including dead man. so the standard moving race is the key to blocking Dead Man by not leaving the one man out there by itself... By the time it takes for a slow-moving pull shooter to get over there, as in this video..a sharp goalie could be there already to block that slow commence and the( carry) toss of the ball by moving the goalie tender dead man a fraction before a dead man pull. You leave a lot of open goal behind you on a double dead man defense. But in all honesty when the shooter is wanting to try to shoot dead man, its easy to just plant both rods against the far wall. Just saying! Master jediR.O.T.N. teacher
The standard race of course... Without switching and using pattern. Is the basic defensive position to cover and block all pull shots. It all depends on the efficiency of a goalies race defensive position, and how tight you keep the middle covered by cupping the defense inward with the feet of the men. The basic rule of thumb for defense.. it's a weakness that everybody has picked up in their game.. Don't point the feet of the men forward as a coverage. It leaves too much room for cutbacks that splits the defense, because the men are not pointed inward. A little bit of pattern is okay. But don't be excessive with it. After all, the more a goalie dances around the more holes he creates out of the blue that the goalie can get hit on by a stubbed shot. I would rather block an accurate forward than a misguided forward.. At least with an accurate forward I know where they're going. As in a Deadman pull. Master JediR.O.T.N. teacher
Hi Vincent. When get back to middle in Tap Middle ( 1:45 ), what kind of motion you are using ? Do we just tap back and shoot or we make a small pull/push motion and shoot ? Thanks
The Key tp BANKING, when you know the surface, & balls will be constantly changing; ALWAYS kick 1/4 ball, either side, vary the the back-up, related to the bar for more, or LESS, LAUNCH angle!! ..NEAR wall is OPEN, ..-- the 5 man will be LATE !
at first I didn't notice the opposing three-bar was down. I had like three shots like this in a row in a game - I couldn't believe it. now my friends won't play when I'm sober. lol
Very good video. I'm struggling a lot with passing. Do you have any tips on how to actually practice them? During the match, opponents always somehow catch my passes.
Im not sure whats wrong. But when i try the tic tac, the ball kinda moves erratically. Looking at your table and the ball, your setup looks so much cleaner and easier to execute. But my table which was used by my company was kinda worn out and ball is kinda worn out. For example, when you push the ball to the left, the ball travel in a straight line to the left. But when i do it in my table, it kinda went diagonally. Im not sure if its because theres a problem with the ball or its a problem with me
Its either the table not level or the surface of the play area is not level. There are quite a lot of factors that may affect and given that your company table is worn out, that would be very difficult to play with.
@@VMFoosball I actually use a bubble level and the whole play area and the table is actually leveled. I purchased a new ball and it's better to control but it's still pretty difficult to do the tic-tac or cushion between the 2 bar. The ball I have always used is a plastic ball. Do you reckon it's easier to control with a urethane tornado ball ? I guess now practice is the only way
Is there any way to get rid of the flicker on the table in your videos? idk why but the lighting or something in them makes it looks like there's a fan disrupting the lighting and it just gives me a headache trying to learn :(
Thanks, i see what you mean. I guess is the frequency of the lighting that captured by my phone and result in flickering which we cant see with our nake eyes.
