Consult with health care professional about incorporating these foods? Laugh our butts off. Will they offer pharmaceuticals to replace these foods? That sounds expensive.
¡PANAS! WE HAVE SO MANY TREES IN PUERTO RICO, ACTUALLY BEFORE HURRICANE MARÍA WE HAD TONS OF THEM. WE CALL THEM PANAS OR PANAPEN. THEY'RE USUALLY COOKED GREEN EITHER BOILED OR FRIED OR BAKED. OCCASIONALLY WE LET THEM RIPEN AND MAKE PUDDING. NOWADAYS YOU CAN FIND BREADFRUIT FOUR TO MAKE PANCAKES, BUT IT'S AS EXPENSIVE AS ALMOND OR COCONUT FLOUR.☹️🙄 🌺☮️💟🌺
Thanks for your comment. I think the best way to reduce the price is to apply the supply/demand theory. In your case where it is possible to grow the breadfruit, take action and few friends to grow the trees to increase supply and in long term decrease prices.
Yes, these many benefits are encouraging, however I have ongoing concerns that much of the sugar in figs is fructose. Fructose is reported in the scientific literature to be problematic since while is does not raise blood sugar spikes and associated insulin spikes, it can adversely affect the liver function. However, there is recent information that around 30% of the sugar in ripe figs is the rare sugar allulose. Allulose has some scientific literature indicating that it is a GLP1 agonist, which can offset some of the averse effects of fructose content in the figs. This is encouraging, and may be important to fund more research about allulose. Since figs appear to be richer in allulose than most other fruits, it just might turn out to counter the fructose adequately. IMHO
You can get figs in supermarkets in Kampala and Nairobi. There is a similar fruit called kuyi in Bari/Kuku. It is a big tree with exactly similar look.
Damn this is the most low effort vid I’ve seen in a while. “Chat gpt write me a healthy foods list” “perfect now I’ll slap on some stock footage of avocados being cut. Doesn’t even need to be centered, would take too much time and effort”
The herbs mentioned in the video may sound exhaustive, but I think visiting our botanist can make life easier. That is a simple way to protect your eyes.
