Its REAL function is to speed you along so your money goes by faster. As your money is spent faster, there is less chance of you thinking about how much money you are spending, thus creating a higher probability of you adding more money to the machine. It is there because of psychological studies on gambling addiction. It is there, to get you addicted to trying to win on something the house ultimately wins on always... ALWAYS. End of story.
Love the videos in this small series. I started watching them some years back, when I was getting addicted to going to the casino playing slots all the time. It's psychological. Only there to give you a false sense of security in the belief that you are the one in control & can willing affect the outcome at will. Take away all the bells & whistles from the slot machines & casinos would be going broke.
Actually it's function is to stop it and redetermine. So you can use it to your advantage. If you know how to successfully tap at the right times which is pretty much controlling the destination of your outcomes you can influence if by as much as possible but you will need to go further into the denoms to see where that combo is hidden from plain sight. Theoretically speaking, you can try this on the low denoms especially if you see dead spins, use the 5~7 rule of quickspin switch denoms and try it again until you find the loose spot. You can then run the spins for more by stopping it quicker but again at this point you are governed by milliseconds so it's very vital to have more funds if you do use this method. I know they all say the opposite like it's predetermined. Okay so if it is then you should be able to find it. Just imagine a technician troubleshooting it. On jackpot with wheels and a stop button, the wheels seem to stop immediately. Therefore, it seems impossible to stop on a pre-determined position. Is the stop button really influencing the result in this case?
Very good. The only comment is that machines wouldn't normally keep generating random numbers when not being played. It would generate them as it needs them. Some jurisdictions make it illegal to throw away random numbers.
Ok people. Let's get to the truth about slot machines. Unlike some people who put out videos about slot machines who really dont play much or dont play at all, I have been playing slots for years and on a regular basis. The information given about the random number generator is true in that the outcome is determined by the exact timing of hitting the spin button. Where they are mistaken is that the reels spin to that location and the outcome is changed by the stop button because the reels stop in mid spin at the location when you hit the stop button. There are a few slots that I have played for hours at a time and have figured out where the scatters are on some of the reels and can predict whether or not it will land on that scatter while its spinning. I have experimented on these machines by letting the spins continue to their predetermined outcomes. The result was that the machine did exactly what its programmed to do. It would "tease" you with the first two scatters, but not land on the third, which would give you the bonus. During this experiment I got two scatters, but didnt get the third 27 times. This was over the course of hundreds of spins. I then tried stopping the reels after getting the first two scatters and started catching the third scatter and getting the bonus. I have had dozens of occassions where I was playing a slot machine and was getting the bonus 2 or 3 times more often than my neighbor playing the same slot. When they commented on my "luck", I would explain that I was stopping the reels and changing the outcome. The people who tried this method would start hitting the bonus more often and often started winning money when they previously weren't winning. Now halving explained all of this, you must understand that getting in the bonus is not a guarantee of big wins, but it does increase your chances. Some of my biggest hand pays were partly a result of stopping the reels and catching extra retriggers. Even though I have had some success using this method, I must remind you that the house always has the edge and winning at slots is still mostly a matter of luck. Hope this info helps.

Multiline slot machines can be more deceptive than single line slots. See this channel's video on "losses disguised as wins" for an explanation. The machine will light up and make noises like you won if it returns anything, even if it's a net loss. If you gamble 1 credit each on 25 lines and "win" 5 credits, you've really lost 20 credits. The machine sure won't look and sound like it, though.

that doesn’t make sense because the video explained that When you hit the start button the numbers start generating millions and millions of different combinations and then at random and it will pick a particular combination and that will determine the pay out or the pattern that is displayed on the screen but if you push the start button sooner or later then with the machine would have picked the numbers when you have stopped it on a particular set of numbers

actually there is another reason for the 'stop' button. it allows the casinos to get in more "spins per hour". for example, if it takes 6 seconds for a game to end normally, you will get 10 spins per minute, and 600 spins per hour. if you hit the stop button, it may take only 3 seconds for a game to end, which will allow for 20 spins per minute or 1,200 spins per hour. since the odds are 'pre-determined', the more spins per hour means more money for the casino
And the reason this is BS is obvious! When u hit the stop button, whether some of the reels have stopped spinning or not, the reels stop, where they are. For your theory to be true, the outcome of symbols would have to be coming in sequence over and over making it obvious what the outcome will be before the reels stop. But thats not what happens. Very few games have the same ten symbols in the same sequence over and over, my proposition would be best demonstrated on a game that uses Super Stacks, that is sequences of the same symbols for 3 or more virtual stops in a row. On many of these games such as ‘Rainbow Riches’ I can stop the reels mid spin when a particularly high paying sequence of the same symbols in a row on consecutive reels is spinning by. I can choose not to stop the reels as easily as i can choose to stop them, and when i don’t when i see a continuous line of high paying symbols go by on consecutive reels, they don’t magically stop there, and i loose my bet. RNG’s are a head fake! Its propaganda. The symbols have fixed position on virtual reels. The third reels always contain the fewest high paying symbols because that is the reel that makes or breaks a win. The high paying symbols are placed at incerements of prime numbers of virtual stops away from one another and the number of virtual stops that transpire from one reel stopping to the next are a prime number of virtual stops. This ensures that with no stopping of the reels the outcomes can be accurately predicted and known in advance to match the payout setting. Each time you change your bet, you get a set of virtual reels specific to that bet amount. You don’t see them change, but they often due as higher bet amounts are often set to payout at a slightly higher rate than lower bet amounts. I use this knowledge to give myself an edge that most can’t comprehend, and if i were wrong, how come year after year, i am walking away with win loss records that clearly show 3 and 400% wins? Cuz you people are liars and simple logic and experience shows it!
It's only real purpose is to give the player the illusion of control. pretty common thing in game design where we give the player something that seemingly influences an outcome while it is already predetermined. same reason why so many player believed the myth they have to hold UP and press B in a rhytm in Pokemon games as it gave them the illusion of having slight control over a random outcome
