Great show as always 🤙I sure miss home. I was there in 2016 before moving to the mainland. Bruce Meyers gave out the trophies, that was special. RIP Bruce & Mahalo.
I saw a few Baby Windows there, and even one Split Baby! Awesome! Baby windows were THE thing back when I was a teenager in the 70’s. With Dual Webers. 😉 Much mahalos for this vid. Brought back some good memories. 🤙 -That’s Ala Moana Beach Park…yeah?
Good question Ian. 75% of the parts in aussie Beetles were Australian-made and after a classic car radio dealer in New York got back to me I found out that the original stereo that you see in my video is a Blaupunkt Frankfurt but an euro model so I would say that it was fitted by the factory.
Dear Bassett., Yes, you're quite right. I went first in 1988 then again in 1992 and there was such a change in that short time. I can imagine it being much more low key with people, in the 70's. More like an American city, whereas now-a-days (2010), the Waikiki and Ala Moana seem like an international cities. Thankfully most naturally beautiful places remain unchained, like Hanauma Bay. The people are still lovely. Have A Nice Day. A.
I was in Waikiki for the first time in my life in November 2014 myself. I love'd it so much that i am going back there in the end of August again 😊 Nice video btw, it give's a good view of the Avenue!
