The WVCTSI was created by its member institutions (West Virginia University, WVU's Health Science Center, WVU Healthcare, West Virginia United Health System, the Charleston Area Medical Center, and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine) to advance the development of research focused on the health issues facing the people and communities of West Virginia.
We believe communities benefit most from research when they have the opportunity to help set the research agenda. We also believe institutions are stronger when they collaborate and cooperate with others that share their values. And we believe the development of scientific capability across our entire state will benefit not only the health of West Virginians, but also our educational and economic future.
