Do not buy any float tubes or pontoon boats from classic accessories no matter the sellers. No business that stocks these products may not know classic accessories no longer makes these products and no replacement parts are available. If you loose a bladder or break a part no replacements available. My Colorado pontoon boat is worthless because can’t get a replacement pontoon.
I just got an Aquaquest Defender about 5 months ago! Yay! Love it. I've been practicing ridgeline tarp sets because I don't use hiking poles. (Normally I would have a bow or rifle, that's why). Today I was focusing on trying a dual plowpoint set, it did not go well but I learned a lot. Mike.
White River. I don't think they make them anymore however I find them on ebay all the time. I set up an ebay alert for White River Float Tube. Good luck, I hope you find one. And thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Glad I ran into you over on Martindale, been catching up on the videos and my daughter is a huge fan. Shell just sit here and patiently watch. Keep em coming brother!
If you don't mind me asking, where is a good spot on Stillwater to put a float tube in. I live in Beavercreek and have always wanted to try the river just not familiar with it. Thank you and keep up the videos.
I celebrate this shelter. If you have two trees, it works with a cross ridge line for the 2nd loop instead of the stick as well. I use a use a prusik knot to connect the loop with the ridge line to be able to adjust later. A truckers hitch to tighten the ridge line. Just attach the ridge line at the trees in man’s height. When you tight the back there is room for the person, two comfortable. With a view training a 5 min setup. Thanks for the video! No wind, no rain. Just sitting down and enjoy the nature and prepare your meal. When you are tired just go to sleep in the back. One of the best shelters when you like some cover or weather is bad.
Thanks for watching, and your opinion. I hooked her, fought her and held her in my hands. Like I said the video doesn't show just how big these fish are.
Older video I know - Just came across your review as I was researching the Cumberland - thanks for an honest review - which model of the White River is the one in this video ? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Hi, and thanks for the comment. There is a White River float tube on ebay as of yesterday. There isn't a specific model so just search white river float tube. Thanks!
Videos give no justice on how much room these really are. We always use a double plowpoint with our fire between. It’s a perfect setup to stay warm when it’s cold👍🏻
I know exactly what you mean. I get that comment often saying, the shelter doesn't look large enough or weatherproof. Oh but they are...and I've been wanting to set up the double plow point at camp for sometime now. Thanks for watching!
Hey man I was the wife on the raft we made it home safe about half a mile down was a spot of rocks and lead to a park we got off there safe left our raft and even came back next day for it my kids still talk about this and we still have your flashlight we can totally give it back too god bless you that night u really eased my mind when I saw a person so thank you again
Hi! I found your raft the next morning. I knew you all climbed that hill, and got out. I'm still impressed remembering how courageous the children were. It's great knowing you all are okay. Keep the light for your next river adventure.
Wow! I'm so happy you all made it out okay! It had to be rough climbing up that hill of concrete and re bar. You can keep the flashlight if you want. I'm super freaking happy you guys are doing okay!
@@MuddySoulOutdoors if you ever want it back I can have Lindsey take it to her work or whatever works best. You were a hero in that moment to us. Thanks again dude!
Okay, if I tell ya you have to keep it a secret...haha. I will never use anything besides this bait for catfish. Boneless chicken breast, and strawberry jello. 🍓 Simply cut the raw chicken into small squares, and pour in the jello mix. It's quite deadly. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
Lol I have this one in camo. Cabela's in Canada still sells the Lost Lake. I thought getting the tube inside the canvas would be a real pain in my ass. Imagine my surprise when I got it right on the first try. I did one for my buddy a few weeks later and I'll be damned if it didn't take me forever to get it in there just right 😂
I am byeing that set up i have a question on the inside of the tent What size of ground tarp would cover the entire floor of the tent 8x8 7x7 6x6 tarp if you could help that would be greatly appreciated love the videos cheers
That's a good question...I don't have a definitive measurement, but if I was wanting to cover the entire floor of this set-up I would use an 8x8 ground tarp. It will be big enough, and if it's to big it wouldn't be by much so you could always fold the edges under. I hope this helps. When I set this up again I'll get the inside dimensions. Thanks for watching Robert!
In the future, I would be interested in a hexamide type shelter. From what I have seen, it is the most effective in bad weather, especially if you camp on the ridge. Thanks in advance
I don't know if you talked about this here or somewhere else but how is the weather protection with this style of tent? does it protect you from heavy rains with or without wind or just a couple of raindrops and something more serious than that's a no go? Thank you beforehande, great video a well explained.
I've used this set up many times in heavy rain, and wind. One of my river island camping videos after I took this set up down I show just how dry it actually stays because you can see the contrast of dry and the wet ground. Even with the front opening. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for the kind words, and for watching!
@@MuddySoulOutdoors I just finished watching that video, thank you for answer. I'm considering a tarp for camping while traveling with my motorcycle, is a low displacement bike so i need lightweight camping gear and seems like a tarp and this style of tent would work just fine in case i have to make an improvised stop on the go. As seen in the video, it seems that the tent protects you very well from the weather and that is just what i need. Thank you again!
I agree. So many people liked that video so I kept it. I did however make a better video explaining this setup. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mXksdTFXCmQ.html Thanks for watching! I appreciate it greatly!
Stuff sack solution DD hammocks ultralight 3*3 Grasp the 3 center tie offs 2) lay tarp out to your front 3) gather - squeeze & roll towards the bunched-up corners It will then fit in the sack. 🤠
Yes. I'm 6ft, and can sleep sideways. It's a little easier when using an overhead branch as a tie off instead of using a pole. Plenty of room otherwise. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
I came here trying to find out how people manage to fit these things into their 60-80 litre packs and it turns out, they don't XD. Part of me feels like I have been conned into buying more of the US military kit now. I thought it might have been the (less than) military backpacks I bought, but it turns out, they don't even fit in proper ones. You need a dedicated molle 2 pouch to carry it in.
