Great video essay! I really liked 'getting over it' for all of the concepts bennett foddy narrated to you. The first time I beat it felt so much better than most other game experiences I've had. I definitely agree that the more believable and full of life the game is, the more i want to spend time exploring that world. I really like the legend of zelda and the portal games for that. Once again, great video, hope you make more!
2 of my favourite games are 'firewatch' and 'what remains of Edith Finch'. Though both games have little to no gameplay, just being in close isolation with near to no-one around you as you take in the environment and story is something very few games are able to achieve to a satisfying level.
