i unfortunately do need a ambient retake of this by driving in the car up to Brunswick road and back i dont have a drivers licence my dad drove me to caulfield village and then met me up at the lions bay store where we continued to squamish for the day
I probably should I done this with a 2017 G5 on the 733 to make it look like it’s the same bus but on a different route I will try 17543 to make it almost the same bus
This is rare to see because #1 The 555 is normally operated out of RTC with double deckers PTC can operate the 555 in emergency situations #2 The R1 is a rapidbus route and uses articulated buses preferably rapidbus units sometimes b line units from PTC #3 When snowfall does occur xn40's are usally what gets put out This was the only time so far that a c40lfr was put on the R1
This bus was in Surrey doing some R1 Trips that are normally done out of STC but this block is actully done by PTC so the bus went back to PTC via the port mann bridge to porve that 3316 didnt get transferd to STC even though yes they do have cng tanks at STC
Not only that but they prefer to have XN40’s on all 701 Mission trips the reason why is because unlike this video of the bus doing to 80km portion of the 701 School Special route the 701 mission goes on lougheed for much longer this means that it can get tiring to listen to that high pitch noise over and over again so the XN40’s help make the bus trip there and back more enjoyable and less noisy also someone on discord told me the driver radios on the newer buses are more stronger and have better signal so the C40LFR’s radios are weaker and don’t work that well in mission.
Sad thing is that bus used to go on lougheed the other direction and serve Thomas Haney and on the way back it also went up 116 and 232 and dewdney but now it copys the 743 back to haney.
1:34 Update September 2023 This 701 trip no longer uses the bus that is placed on 240th Street at Dewdney Trunk Road this bus now uses the main 701 maple ridge east bus stop for 240th street that is now relocated before the intersection of 240th street and has a new bus shelter so the bus now announces (Dewdney Trunk Road @ 240th Street) instead of (240th Street @ Dewdney Trunk Road).
