I wish they would let us know when the next season is coming. The wait is not fun, particularly when season 4 aired almost a year ago in France. Astrid (et Raphaëlle) has the best elements of television procedural with their friendship as its heart. It also shines a light on the life and challenges for those in the spectrum. Another thing is... I'm apprehensive that the PBS partnership for an English-speaking version of the show means we'll no longer get the original. And, no offense to the people involved in the new version, I'd rather watch Mortensen and Dewaere.
A brilliant series. It shows the intricate and intense minds of people with Asperger's paired with crime. We don't spend enough time understanding people who are unlike most. They're judged and criticized because they're different. I've subscribed to Viaplay and PBS. The best decision I've made with regards to TV/Movies.
Season two is even better! Scarier, many close-ups, a beautiful directing and striking demon/history stories. You can learn so much from it! Plus, Teodora Duhovnikova and Vladimir Karamazov are super talented charismatic actors that transcend you into this thriller universe of the series. This ia by far the best Bulgarian series❤❤❤🎉
Thank you for such an appreciative review! Season one was incredible, but season two takes it to the next level, offering an even more immersive and thrilling experience. Highly recommended. ❤
This is a fabulous series which I have been watching on Walter Presents Ch 4 , but it has stopped at series 6 ! .....When will we be able to watch the rest of the series up to series 10?
There's some great music in this, I'm trying to find a playlist, it's not even in the credits. Iris is a waste of space, the actor playing Bjorn is brilliant, otherwise it's not a bad watch.
Do you have a website? I love the Walter Presents offerings, but when I try to Google information about the various series, I often get inaccurate or incomplete information. Also, I watched what I thought was seasons one through seven of The Paris Murders (Profilage) but later learned it was actually seasons four through ten. I am not complaining. I just would like to see the first three seasons. Where might I find them?
The best TV detective series yet. Cannot wait to view series 4. The whole production is top quality. From casting and camera, to speech and silence. Spell binding, entertaining and though provoking. Life from other perceptions. Well done and thank you.
There's a second season now, with the episodes coming out on TV every week. The second season is called "The Devil's Fall" with fall as in autumn. This time it takes place in another beautiul bulgarian town and mountain. :)
All the Walter Presents series that I have seen on PBS are excellent. Luna & Sophie, Astrid, Munch etc. I am hoping that we get more Munch in the future.
Absolutely BIZARRE. The U.S. version begins with season 4; the season finale of the '1st' (in fact 4th) season shows Chloe hanging herself in Karmen's cell. He's a psychopathic/ Svengali/corrupt/cop who has an ex-wife in his thrall, and had recruited several cops in Chloe's dept. to participate in this convoluted, confusing, plot development. Is Chloe's mommy dead? Yes? No? Maybe? Without going into all the sharks being jumped faster than you can say oui, the season ends on this cliff hanging note. But this is where things get REALLY strange. In the season opener of season '2', (actually season 5), everything is back to 'normal'. Chloe is a mommy now and her mommy is back in the picture as grandma to her daughters adopted kid Lili. These is NO reference to the finale of the previous season. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Did she successfully hang herself in that cell? Apparently not. Was the corrupt psychopathic Svengali cop arrested? Escaped? Die? We don't know, No reference is made to the previous season's ending. How, I ask you, is this possible? Who wrote this? What were they thinking? We don't know. We're not told. Anyway, after this, I decided no mas. I can't watch a series this badly plotted.
Exquisite, elegant, romantic... A visual feast...Exceptional performances...Thank you, Walter, and PBS for this extraordinarily beautiful and poignant series.
