Question, how did you fix the power port? Was it simply resodering the component, or did you have to replace it? I have the same problem with my Sega Genesis as well.
I have done this with my pokemon Ruby. Thought maybe I did it wrong so I went and had it professionally replaced and I’m still getting the error . Has this happened to anyone else?

I think he was adding solder to bypass the blown ps17 fuse. Why he wont just answer anyone I can't grasp. Possibly he really didn't fix it and just showed a working one at the end
Manufacturers know that people will use and abuse the f out of their equipment especially in gaming because it's an addiction (great marketing tactic) and most of the time your controller doesn't live to see past a few months assuming you don't throw it across the room at the speed of light! :)
It's such a shame how greedy companies make it ridiculously complicated to open up our own electronics (at the risk of breaking them/voiding warranty etc.) and clean them out but then again nobody told us to waste time buying them :)
