Because the 90s has a slight putrid stench of real racism, nobody could see how absurd it was to paint Pam in any kind of negative light given her intelligence, her comedic wit, her looks, and her bangin body. Anyway, today we know much better. When we had real racism...unlike today when we got a whole lotta whiners pullin the race card left and right like a bunch of B!tches.....the real racism of yesteryear had black folks hating themselves. We were made to hate our skin color and our hair texture. What we don't realize today still...is that...some pale face individuals who claimed to be our friends in hollyweird and the media were behind that self hate and they only use us now for political schemes. Anyway, Pam was vital to the show Martin, and Gina was a big nothing burger..usually. Gina had some good moments though like in the episode she discovered Tommy and Pam were a thing, but usually, she was just whatever. She was just that light skinned black woman that certified that Martin had it like that....not to me though...not to me.
