Dyneema sinthetic rope are more stronger and cheaper ,10mm thickness can sustain 8,5tone and i think none steel rope cannot sustain with that thickness so much
I have a several year old Warn 16.5ti and somehow managed to break off the 1 bolt attaching point section for the relay box to the winch housing. I'm not sure what this cover is made out of but it obviously isn't designed to take any stress whatsoever. Calling Warn support to see if I could replace just the cover and was told I would have to buy the ENTIRE RELAY PACK, Wiring and Cover assembly - they don't sell the cover separately and they want $455 for the entire works. I've owned Warn products for years and was really surprised (and disappointed) to find that I'd have to spend that kind of money for what looks like a $30 item. I also have an older Warn M8000 in a Cradle that I've used to death and it's never disappointed me. Considering Warn's "Tradition" of making durable components, to experience this failure on the 16.5ti and the cost to rectify it amazes me. The cover looks like it would be difficult if not impossible to repair (Heli arcing some kind of replacement piece to cast Aluminum just doesn't work well) so I'm in a quandary as to where to go from here. I guess they just don't make them like they used to.
for a 2017 toyota tundra, are there any parts that need to be moved? And is there a link to purchase the mounting brackets and hardware? I may be purchasing bumper only without other parts. thx
I like that the recovery bag is a backpack. Most are a duffel, but you may have to scramble up a hillside to get to another vehicle, and that’s harder to do with your hands full.
BEST brand winches on the market…PERIOD. Used my ZEON 10s on a tree saver and shook the heck out of a Colorado pine tree in Estes Park to get my DJI drone that was stuck at the very top. No prob for Warn. Made a sweet video while doing it. May post soon
High pressure water proof IP69K, built in wireless receiver for smart phone control up to 100’ away, much faster line speeds unloaded or loaded (up to 40% faster than standard and 7% faster than regular zeon) more less weight, electrical bus for connections (zeon 12k xd s only has 80’ line with larger aluminum drum to maintain faster line speed under load) lots of billet aluminum parts
Great video. how far was your remote cable plugged into the winch control pack? i just installed mine and it wont power. the bluetooth isnt working and the hardwired doesnt power up. it seems like the cable that plugs into the control pack doesnt go in that far. i try to push it in but there is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch it is not going in.
The ignorance of bright headlights on jeeps is beyond me. You blind me. I will definitely blind you. People in jeeps remind me of donald jerk dump cults.
A lot of jeeps has excessively bright headlights. The brighter your headlights. The blinder the on coming traffic is. You all do not have the right to blind others. If you can blind me. I will definitely blind you. If you can do it. I can too!!!
For anyone who is conside😮ring serving in Naval Special Warfare, which means serving as a SEAL or as a SWCC, take full advantage of interacting with the members of the assessment command. You’ll get the straight scoop and learn so much more than you ever will from a website. By the way, After my 32 years as a SEAL and I have never met anyone who regretted earning a Trident.
If you're relying on the strength of the cross member as the basis for the viability of the hitch attachment, why not just put the shackle around the cross member itself and corcumvent the need for that heavy block of metal?
