Who is screaming for help, people, and arms? I think that is Ukraine. You don't need to take territory to win the war; you just need to get it in the end when the enemy sues for peace. I don't think America took over all of California and what is now the Southwest US; they just won the Mexican War that got them that territory. Same thing. If Ukraine can't fight anymore because its army is decimated, then Russia can take what it wants. Especially with Ukraine being so psychotic about losing territory, Russia doesn't have to chase them down all over the place, they are coming to them.
