For the men Sorato Anraku is definitely my favorite to win it all, he is just on another level. After him I would say Toby Roberts, Dohyun Lee, and Jakob Schubert are next most likely. Legends like Adam Ondra, Alex Megos, and Tomoa Narasaki could also all take it if the boulders/lead end up playing more into their style. Tbh all the athletes who I didn't mention are also insanely skilled and could easily win, which definitely makes things exciting. For the women Janja is of course the favorite, but the gap between her and #2 has narrowed in the last 4 years to the point where it's possible for other athletes to steal the win. I will definitely be looking out for Brooke Raboutou, Natalie Grossman, Miho Nonaka, and Erin McNeice (I think I'm missing another name here but I'm not sure who).

I am really hyped for this shoe tho I am not sure what is the difference between lace and strap? I am rather on slim foot side and low on the brigde. I am currently having old Boreal Joker lace and I love the fit and how they surround my feet. I was opting to have a strap after my current shoes for fast on/off, but if laces means better fit that's a no brainier for me. Please help :)

I have recently gotten a pair and been using them for a few weeks now. Previously I fit very well into the UP shoes (Lace, Rise, and Rise Pro). I also fit well into the NewTros. I usually wear 8.5 for all and the same is true of the Qubit, but it fits a little tighter for me. It only took a couple of sessions to break in perfectly, and combines a lot of the things I like about all the above shoes - it felt like the perfect shoe after using the flat UP series for a long time - better than the NewTro imo. The heel is perhaps a tiny bit narrow for my heel, but so far this hasn't been a problem. The toe rubber is awesome, and reminds me of what I liked about the UP Rise Pros. I also don't have particularly narrow feet, more of an average or medium size and shape, so I would say don't be put off trying a pair if you think it is just for a narrow foot. The only downside is the same downside for all Unparallel velcro shoes unfortunately, which is the strap loop - it is plastic, and will definitely break in time (this happened on my UP Rise velcros.)
"Revenge?" What do you think, climbing is like a fkn spaghetti western, or a psychopathic US presidential candidate? I met a lot of bears, some snakes, & other residents of earth. When they are not laying on top of the food necessary for lasting through their hibernating period, they NEVER, EVER, even THINK of something so STUPID as revenge. You need that kind of motivation, wear a forehead swastika tat, so that real living things can avoid you.
For the women there's a few that could take it, but I think it's gonna be pretty tough to beat the queen. For the men I think it's really interesting. I think Lee, Jakob, Alberto, Toby, Adam, Tomoa and Sorato all have a good chance of winning it, and perhaps if one of the others has a few really good rounds we could be surprised. But genuinely all of the above are at such a level they could take it imo
I think lead gets you so pumped and tired it doesn't allow you to recover before boulder starts. Although ideally we'd see both rounds on a different day so we don't have as many issues with skin for athletes
How does the Qubit compare to the UP TN Pro & UP Lyra in terms of both specs & fit? I have a teeny tiny heel so it's really hard for me to find a good fit..
