The tips I got on ebay but I can't find the exact ones. I believe they were 63mm inlet and oval 115mm wide by 93mm tall. As for the full set up, the tips, MBRP cat back, ARK secondaries and the MBRP resonators linked in the description.
@iamcasillas3- This was with the factory "tips". I ended up adding a pair of resonators and some generic tips I found on ebay that I can't seem to find again.
Your video was very hard to find - but I'm glad I did. I don't like the drone from the MBRP I installed either so great to know that the resonators help!
I did resonators and tips, both of those were installed for the modified clips. I wish I would have tested tips first, at least for the sake of comparison.
You wouldn't be able to get the exact same exhaust as me since mine is a 2022 which is when they added the electronic exhaust valve. Also the tips are different on the 2022+
Illinois stingers💪🏽💪🏽 when you added the resonators, was the sound of the exhaust reduced quite a bit? Looking to purchase this exact setup and was debating getting resonators right away. What brand did you end up going with? It seems the resonators got rid of that rasp at the end.
IL represent! I went with MBRP resonators. They did quiet the exhaust down a few decibels but still plenty loud. It really got rid of the drone which was my main concern.
Hey do you still have this MBRP on your stinger? How does active valve works? does it come with remote or something that you can open & close? Or does it just close whole time when you on comfort and open all the time when you on sport?
The valves hook up to the factory wiring on the 22' and 23' models. Valves are closed in everything except sport or custom if you have certain settings set up.
@@usaidemon thanks man, I want to make the big purchase but had to be certain. It's the mbrp active catback, with mbrp resonators, with ark secondary pipes, and exhaust tips. My bank is about to give me a call 😮💨😮💨
I never had just the exhaust so I don't know how that would sound. Started with the ARK DP and that definitely made the sound from inside more aggressive but people had told me it was pretty quiet while driving by. Adding the exhaust absolutely made it sound stronger both inside and out.
How was the drone and rasp with this set up? I was thinking of doing the mbrp you have now, but I think it’s too loud for me. This looks good if the drone and rasp isn’t too bad
Drone and rasp were pretty non-existent with this set up. To me, it sounded good inside the car. I don't let people drive my car so I never heard it being driven but people mentioned a few times that they were surprised how quiet it was.
I had this setup before and it was a lot quieter with minimal drone in the cabin because I had aftermarket connected exhaust tips. They make a huge difference.
That’s good to know. I have the same setup without connecting tips, although I do have some I just need to install. I find the lower rmps sound loud and obnoxious.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to do the research and modify it. Might go with the same set up. I’ll probably start without the secondaries first. Get them eventually.
Adding exhaust tips that go all the way out the back totally eliminated cabin drone. HUGE difference and greatly changed the driving experience especially at highway speeds.
Wow! Very nice! It gurgles in Sport Mode?? Also..is the droning unbearable? I had an MBRP on my 1st 2018 Stinger. I now have a '23 GT2 & wondering if this new MBRP is 'too loud' on the inside...Thanks for the video! Well done display!
With the factory secondaries it should be good as far as interior volume and drone. With ARK secondaries, the drone is pretty brutal. I've added a pair of resonators after the X-pipe in the MBRP exhaust which has eliminated the drone and made my car enjoyable to drive again.
I think I had seen someone else say they put a resonator on theirs and that mellowed down the drone a lot and the volume a bit, and was looking at putting different tips on theirs, which is supposed to help. I will probably do the same once I get the exhaust.
Resonators made a huge difference! I added resonators, tips and some inserts into the comfort side pipes. Working on making a new video to show the changes.
@@YUNGINLEO It is a really nice system but you gotta keep in mind that it's designed to be used with the factory secondaries. If you have aftermarket secondaries, you will NEED to put in some resonators. I put resonators and tips on mine and it's WAY better! Working on making a video of how it sounds now.
How big of a difference is it between the comfort and sport mode in the interior? It still sounds very loud in comfort mode to me in the video. Appreciate the video btw.
They are very similar volume wise, but sport does have a more aggressive tone. I really do wish comfort was quieter. I'm going through ideas to quiet it down in comfort and decrease the drone in both.
@@usaidemon Sucks to hear that, I really wanted the exhaust to be quiet in comfort and just loud enough in sport. Subscribed to see if what you do fixes the issue especially the drone.
Might have to wait till next year, I'm not about to leave camera equipment on the side of the road while I drive by and I don't think any of my friends wanna stand outside in 20 degree weather to record me 🤣🤣
This was on map 5 with 100 octane Sunoco fuel. I think it sounds pretty nice with secondaries and factory catback especially in sport mode with the valve open. I do want to add a MBRP catback but wanna keep the factory valve. MBRP is working on one for the 22 model so I'm hoping they put a valve in to work with the factory wiring.
I've had my stock 2004 V6 gt 6 speed tiburon on flat ground hit 135 mph and it was still pulling, but had to slow down because a car pulled out about a quarter mile up the road. I definitely like the car and it looks and runs great but I need more power lol I've smoked everything that will race me. Not many people here in Indiana will line up though. I'd like to take on a mustang or camaro just to see what it's capable of. Not many people will tune a fwd car but hey i like it and it's got potential, so I'm gonna do it. This car was in my price range, gotta start somewhere
but i do agree that Honda makes one of the most reliable engines with most HP to ltr ratio. Thats why i love honda and want to get s2000 in the future. I just think that Tibby is a very nice car for money cuz they are just as reliable as any honda in terms of engine (probably not the sub parts like sensors and etc cuz my dad had to replace the engine sensor twice on his hyundai grandeur) and from experience it was really truly fun to drive. personally more fun than integra
surely u may say oh u can turbo the s2000, remap the ecu get new exhausts blah blah blah and it will be quicker than the genesis coupe but be honest here u can tune the genesis coupe too lol and get it over 500hp easy so what is the point of talking about enhancing the performance with mods lol there is no point to that. u should compare stock vs stock lol. and this is coming from a guy who thinks s2000 as a future dream car over any car else so im not biased. just telling u whats right
lol a 92 del sol wont out run a tibby on a straight line unless a 10yr old was shifting the tibby and pro racer was shifting the del sol. Think u rely on the internet times too much when most of them are false. And because you have compared hyundai and honda i will tell you a real fact right here. Now its not that I hate honda and love hyundai infact i like honda in general more but talk about performance i dont think honda has produced a car quicker than genesis coupe just yet
no i know you have to put more power through it. but I was just stating that with a longer ratio gear box, you will be able to reach a higher top speed. obviously youll need the power for the car to get you there. A friend of mine built the UK's fastest del sol, 690bhp, he had to have the gear box custom made to get the speed he was after (going for a 200mph run) and without it, would have maxed out way before.
Sure, if you have the horsepower to make it go faster. But on a car that doesn't even have 180 HP, putting a longer gear on it won't do anything. You'll just stop gaining speed well before you redline. If you added another gear to a Tib without turning the ratios down from what they are, you would change to 6th gear and actually start slowing down. Now, if you have a 1000HP Mustang, obviously a stock gearbox isn't going to work and in that situation it would matter.
