For anyone saying this was inappropriate, google the pitcher that thew it, where it hit him and at what speed. Being hit with a ball at this speed can damage an organ, fracture a hip, or break a rib. That man did it ON PURPOSE and desrrved to get clocked out at very least.
@thejondohhshow Sal "The Barber" Maglie was shaving batters and finally threw a pitch behind Jackie Robinson, trying to get him to instinctively lean back and away from the plate and into the pitch. Out of retaliation, Robinson bunted up the 1st base line, forcing the 1st baseman to field it while Maglie should have covered 1st base. Knowing Robinson had forced that play and after having just thrown a pretty dirty, dangerous pitch at Robinson, Maglie declined to cover first, forcing the 2nd baseman, Davey(?) Williams, to cover it instead. Robinson absolutely trucked Williams and it resulted in Williams getting Robinson's knee in his spine and that caused an injury that ended Williams' career. Maglie like to dish it but, when the time came to pay his tab, he left someone else holding the bill.
It was so cool coming back to New England for the Metal & Hardcore festival. It was cold and rainy, but all of the bands were fantastic! Especially being able to see The Red Chord again!
