This is all totally wrong! As a veteran longboard surfer who knows surf history inside out. This vid is a very shallow display of the reason. Why the swastika and Nazi memorabilia was used by surfers in the early-mid 60’s. Firstly it was celebration of the US 🇺🇸 dominance over the Nazis in WW2. Where a huge amount of battlefield souvenirs. Were brought home by the fathers of these surfers and treasured as memories or given to their son’s. Just to say “we did it!”. But… also, this was set to become a rebellious cultural statement made by the surfer. Against a society that classed them as “outsiders” and “beach bums”. A statement that later used in the exact same way, by biker gangs, UK punks (Sid Vicious) , heavy metal bands (Motörhead). Once again, with zero link to racial tension. Instead just a way for a sub-culture to grab your attention and for teenagers to annoy their parents. Nothing at all to do with actually being a Nazi. The territorial stance that generates localism. Only came about the moment that surfing went mainstream. Especially when the U.S. started traveling to Hawaii to surf. The Hawaiian’s became renowned for being brutally territorial. But in the U.S. this was mostly fuelled by an upbringing centred around War, Nationalism and the array of “them and us” team sports, like football. So, try not to get tangled up in the truth of history, by being polluted by today’s radically restrictive levels or political correctness. Only then will you see how harmless kids surfing and expressing themselves in ways you’ve not seen before, came about. Good luck. 🤟🏼😊

Quite simply machines do not and never can have the lived experience of human beings therefore they can never replicate anything but surreal portmanteaus. QED. Only if a human is manipulating/ editing the meaning can the meaning be conveyed through AI. Otherwise it's just copy/ replicate/ tweak/ paste on a global scale and the result - nonsense. It's just another useful tool but has limited parameters - the trap people fall into is believing it has any sentience - it has none. The whole thing, as people are finding out, is nugatory, facile and vacuous.
