Hi Scott! I just randomly saw your comment and it made me want to answer. I would like you to know that you are love. Truly, loving yourself is not about liking everything we represent or do. It is about accepting it and having the courage to be better. Little by little, step by step. Start with telling somebody you love, that you love them. Then be by yourself, look into the mirror and tell yourself I love you. Every day, ten times in a row. Put on your favorite album and move your body in any way you feel like it wants you to move and breathe as deep as you can, let it out. Do little things for yourself, things you enjoy, and learn not to feel guilty about maybe not always being able to. Take care of your body, your mind will thank you for it. Try to be as kind as possible, and put your boundaries is place, they might change, and that is okay. Life is constantly changing, and you are able, actually, you have to choose the direction of that change. So take your time. You say you hate yourself, though you are love, that is a fact. We all are. Some know and some forgot or just don’t know yet. Sometimes life is shit, but nobody can truly change it for us, but ourselves. And you are not alone, literally everybody is just in their own body having to handle themselves. I believe in you soon being able to feel that love that is already there, we often numb it to protect ourselves. And now breathe in deeply and thank your body for another day of life.
