Japan's original country name "NIPPON”(Japan) means "the land under the sun" , but another name is "YAMATO(WA)” , meaning “Peacefully Harmony among People and Nature”. So Japan's name means “the Land under the Sun” and” the Land of "Great Harmony of People and Nature,” The history of Japan is very old, about 2,000 years since the Emperor's reign, but humans began to live in villages and communities in this island nation about 14,000 years ago, during “the JOMON pottery” culture. (That's 30,000 years ago, if you count the Neolithic period.) Surrounded on all sides by the sea and geographically isolated from the Eurasian continent in the Pacific Ocean, this island nation has a warm and humid climate and is blessed with abundant underground clear water resources, diverse vegetation, and fishery resources. For this reason, people have lived here for tens of thousands of years, enjoying nature and living in peace with it. However, while the natural environment of this island nation is rich, it is also harsh, with both light and dark sides. Since ancient times, the people of this land have lived in peace by respecting human harmony and working together as a group, and have shared and enjoyed the blessings of nature by overcoming many harsh and severe natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and typhoons by sharing wisdom and working together as a group. This is because this island nation has a harsh natural environment that cannot be overcome by the power of one individual. The ancient Japanese name of the country, "YAMATO(DAI-WA)" or "WA" (great harmony among People and Nature)、 represents the desire and reality of people trying to survive in the unique natural environment of an island nation, which is different from the dry and stable land of the Eurasian continent. And it is in this ancient Japanese country name that the essence of Japanese culture and the source and secret of the emergence of a unique Japanese culture different from the cultures of other Asian countries on the continent are hidden.

I believe what we said was that it felt like we were in the game of thrones because of the bleak, freezing, snowy weather on the upper ramparts. There is no actual connection the the GoT. Thanks for watching!

If you are going to post videos about Ireland PLEASE spell the places correctly. For example it is STEPHENS Green NOT Stevens Green. It is Glendalough NOT Glandalough.etc etc. It is disrespectful to not even bother to spell the names of our national sites correctly.

Absolutely incredible how the pyramids are still standing after all this time. Maybe a dumb question, but why did you need a police escort?
@TheWanderingWife
@TheWanderingWife Год назад
The Egyptian government requires it for tourist groups. We were in a convoy of 3 buses with a police officer in front and behind, as well as an armed security agent in each bus.

Great video! What cruise ship are you on, may I ask? And do you recommend? Did the tour allow enough time at the pyramids and museum? Is it terribly hot and did you get hassled by peddlers?
@TheWanderingWife

We were on the Bougainville, a ship with the French company, Ponant. It’s a small ship, considered what I think is referred to a a “boutique cruise.” There were only about 160 passengers. We booked through gohagantravel.com. We loved them so much that we are doing their African Great Migration Safari in February. Gohagan made everything seamless, including visas (our trip included Athens, Egypt, Jordan and Israel). Their choice of hotels were all top- notch, and the buses were too. They are a bit pricey compared to some other trips, but it’s a 5-star tour in our opinion. I did wish we had more time in Petra (coming up!), but for the amount of bucket list destinations we got on one trip, it was worth every penny! To see more about the ship, watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Uk2frGa2W_w.html

The Tower at the start of the video, near Hauptbahnhof is the Königstorturm (king's gate tower). Frauentorturm is more to the east. These towers had usually a gate besides. I think only two of the Gates survived WW II: Neutor and Tiergärtnertor. Interesting fact: The towers were originally built squared. After evolution of cannon technologies they had to be expanded with rounded walls to give better protection and deflect cannonballs better.

you were very smart to get a guide. Most tourists end up wandering around the streets, getting lost and missing on all the landmarks or good places to visit

Even though it’s officially Willis Tower. As a Chicago area resident, this will always, likely, and originally be the Sears Tower! Nothing else! Even though the name changed, we’re not going to change on what we call it. Culturally, when something is known for a long time and names change. We stick to it because it’s what we think is familiar. To those that visit, I’d highly recommend you blend in as locals and refer to places by there original names respectively (not just the Sears Tower) because it’s what majority of the residents call it.

What is the deal with these videos? They all walk around the street taking video like it's something exciting to see? Good Grief, who cares about a taxi driver cleaning his car or people crossing with the light. Don't say you're making a video about The Imperial Palace and spend 10 minutes showing stupid stuff. Figure out what you want to show and show it. Why make a video if you don't have a plan?
