Having been a first responder for the gas utility in St Louis, Missouri for 35 years, I can tell you first-hand locating and verifying underground utility installations is by far the most important step, before any excavation should proceed. That being said, I also feel it is the most overlooked and under valued process in excavation projects today, of course until an incident happens ( we tend to learn more from our failures than we do from our successes). I would like to applaud you and Planet Underground for shining a light on an industry that is so important to Public Safety but often overlooked and under-appreciated. I find it disappointing at the low number of views, it's almost like we're preaching to the choir.

Great video guys! And it's funny how it doesn't matter what part of the world you are from, we all seem to have the same issue of getting the contractors or customer, to explain exactly where they are working.
