Good question, My friend hosts this game. I presume he can play without me and he'll be in control of all the characters, then we I join again it carries on from where he left off.
your playlist is upside-down and mixed up. could use to get fixed...i will most likely loose attention after short while having to click manually on 'next episode' each time the one i watch finishes.
@@wizzywilson when i go into playlist for wartales, it has episodes of baldurs gate and some other games as well and the list is from most recent episode at TOP descending towards episode 1 so when i start it as Play All, it goes 36...35...34...33 etc towards episode 1. I checked seting on my way to make sure its as default and all is ok. I checked on other channels and all is fine there. I hope its an easy fix. keep up the good work :)
@@kamilkolanda5144 Try from this link. Please let me know if other videos are also showing there. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0t7-JFu_GzE.html
@@wizzywilson This link is for part 1 Warteles in Wartales Playlist. No more Baldurs Gate in it BUT it brings me to BOTTOM of the list for Part 1. Above it cascading is 2...3...4...5 etc and below it is only 1 video Part41 (yesterday below it was part 40)...so as Part 1 finishes it autoplays Part 41 (the one below) and thats it. If I want to watch whole playlist in chronilogical order I need to manually click from part 1 to 2 3 4 5...etc...if I click 'NEXT video' at bottom of 'player', it goes into Part 41.
Gotta reignite those torches. I think you figured it out by playing it out in this video, but each character ability can only be used in a specific place(s). These are denoted by the yellow dots when you hover over the ability. In the same fashion, the red dots indicate what enemy place that ability can target.
Thanks for that, yea starting to slowly learn whats what, I didn't realise the importance of retreating so lost most of party in this video and the next ..oops
Of course you can play the original game alone? Sure, if you are the player and the GM the element of surprise is missing, but dice luck is still dice luck. I for sure played it a ton of times on my own when no friends for it were available and it's just as much fun. And a great way to test out new campaigns you created.
Also, be mindful of doing ranged attacks right next to enemies. This means you attack with disadvantage (draw 2 attack modifiers and you take the worst one). So you could draw a +2 and a -1; you would take the -1 in that case. That’s what the purple symbol represents - that you would be attacking this enemy at a disadvantage. Hope that makes sense!
Lol love the NSFW commentary. You’ve probably already realised - but you could still have used skewer while you were immobilised to attack at least 1 of those monsters on your left.
Same, i played it solo all the time. Used to play with my sisters. I was zargon becauze im older and it was my game. They stopped playing because they said i cheated. In other words they were bad at it and didnt want to play
Awesome! I've managed to load HeroQuest: Master Edition (All Expansions) on TTS. However the fans on my laptop are going non stop and making some awful amount of noise when I run HQ on TTS. I'm new to the gaming world so I'm probably using the wrong laptop for this stuff. It's a macbook pro 16'' with an i9 intel chip and 64 GB of ram. Is there something better I can use that'll make less noise? From your video you don't seem to have any noise issues.
Go to the tabletop simulator on steam then click on the workshop tab which is on the row of tabs under the play button. Search the workshop for heroquest, you will find plenty to choose from.
@@wizzywilson Someone offers an installer with all files and you have to install them with CMD...because the installer does not work (regardless of the font). Google "Running HeroQuest GameMaster in Windows 10" and click the laforjadelosheroes blogspot link.
the switching back and forth between HQGM and tabletop simulator is a bit tedious. Isn´t there any mod where HGQM is directly implemented into tabletop simulator?
Right click on the installation exe file and click on the compatibility mode tab. Try running it in Windows XP Sp3, if that doesn't work try other XP modes. That should fix it.
The PC game can't hold a torch to the board game, so learning how to play solo is useful-practice being Morcar/Zargon before inviting your friends to play, or just amuse yourself. (/(=^_^=)\) EDIT: I didn't realize this is a much later PC version, hence why I thought I was looking at the actual game board rather than the Gremlin Interactive version. System requirements for v2.6?
The board game version of _HeroQuest_ probably isn't much fun playing solo. The board game version of _Memoir '44_ plays better as solo than _HeroQuest,_ though it's a completely different game.
I am trying to install this on my windows 10 machine. It gets stuck at 0% Image of where it gets stuck drive.google.com/file/d/1iPDfDTIjrvU4YZfczI-Ni-5fINb2U6B6/view?usp=sharing

@@wizzywilson, thank you for your suggestion. I have tried your suggestion. That didn't work. I have however discovered that I'm getting this message, "HeroQuest Game Master v2.6 has not been totally installed because of the following reason: Cannot create the following file: C:\\Windows\Fonts\Caxon Bold $$A You will have to run this utility again to completely install HeroQuest Game Master v2.6 "
@@Duke_Blitzein Try installing the font before installing the game. www.fontsmarket.com/font-details/caxton-bold Usually just altering the compatibility mode helps
Not sure if you ever got it fixed, but a guy named JoeyVera on Reddit supplied a workaround (involves downloading a zip file that has every file from the full install, and you have to do a few file overwrites and command line entries, but I can confirm it worked 100% for me): www.reddit.com/r/Heroquest/comments/j6ncgn/heroquest_gamemaster_26/
Better to use cursors to move the characters. That way you will trigger traps when heroes step on them and also when you press a cursor key into a door it will open the door and only reveal the visible line of sight rather than the whole room which gets revealed by right clicking->reveal location.
It looks tedious to me. I still prefer the original 1vs4 system, I think it's the better way to play HQ. For solo play, there are many other games specifically designed for that.
FFG ordered the tabletop simulator to remove most of the descent and mansions of madness mods but I believe there should still be a few descent mods still uploaded.
Could u do a tutorial on how to set it up. When i start tabletop and load hero quest i dont get any wizzard or elf spells and i cant find any treasure cards. Furnitures, monsters etc are there though. Cant find any monster card as u have here. How did u set it all up properly, like arranging them on your side of the board? I have to move to the back of the screen to get them from the game master side. And yeah i have pressed place on the original game. Also when looking from the heroes side of the board, its "upside down" from when looking at the HQDM 2.6 map.
@@wizzywilson steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=924003788 I use this one "HeroQuest: Master Edition (All Expansions) ". Do you have a better one?

Thank you. Ive not been in the best of health the last 18 months so not really had the energy to carry on playing. I do plan on getting back to making more videos as soon as I can
Hey is it worth using both HGDM plus the Table Top Simulator? It seems kind of redundant. Couldn't you just play solo using HQDM? Of course Table Top is prettier to look at. :)
@@wizzywilson But you're hopping back and forth between Table-top Simulator and HQGM. I meant a fully automated 3d game. Where does one get the 3d character assets for Table-top Sim?
This is really cool. I might have to pick up table top simulator myself! I'm doing a Let's Play with the board game, and it ends up taking up a lot of table space! Nice play through.

Mistake time.... At 3:00 Jain should have suffered one damage from the zombie minion due to his activation text. The Goblin Master should have been killed with leorics attack at 40:00 as he had taken 4 points of damage. At 42:40 Jaine had two surges but only used one for range, the remaining surge would have killed the Zombie master.
