The fact that hardly anyone does it is kind of what attracted me to doing it myself. The extra material (particularly when it’s from something that’s examines the inner world of a given character) can really push a video to the next level. All my future videos (both main videos and shorts) will probably involve expanded universe material.

Why thank you, I must confess, that was exactly the intention. To make you cry mean. 😈 I felt compelled to make this video because the series had finally bought what I think to be a reasonably satisfactory and to such an important character. In that way, I wanted to make this the definitive tribute to Cortana and surrounding story. It’s possible that one day down the line I’ll make one for the chief, since it seems quite possible that will one day be replaced or the tire due to his real actors age. Whether or not it gets better or worse, this franchise train looks like it’s gonna keep on chugging.

I've found that with enough time and a willingness to learn new things a person can do anything. I'm sure you can get. One of the things on my to-do list is to make a playlist of all the Halo Media that have helped me make the video making process faster and higher quality. Full compilations of cut scenes without subtitles, clean compilations of coastlines, pieces of marketing material with footage not seen in the game, that sort of thing. Should hopefully make things a little easier for people trying to do what I do lol.
I've been listening to this in the bg while working and stuff cause I quite like your version of the Event Horizon music. So I gotta ask Would it be possible for you to upload those music? Provided it doesn't lead to copyright strikes of course
Just to clarify, though. I looped full of the middle sections (28:30 - 33:00)of event Horizon In order to have enough room to get everything I wanted. do you want me to include those loops that arguably don’t add any anything new to the song just include it being slowed down with the new section at the end, or would you prefer those loops to be included?
not gonna lie, I'm still riding off the high of that. And I appreciate that. It's no pressure, I intend for this to be a long-term thing. Potentially to the extent that I would start making videos about other game series like gears of War, devil may cry et cetera. but that is some ways away.

You really blew past my expectations with this one The 2nd half made me almost tear up as I remembered those bittersweet feelings after Halo 4 with Cortana And, I'll say it again. Your videos are massively underrated. I wish more people would watch your videos

@@chiefsenpai969 it will probably end up being decided by a pole. The most common subjects that people suggest are forerunners, ODSTs and the flood. It’ll definitely be one of those, and I will for sure get round to them all eventually. (probably gonna sneak in Catherine Halsey has a fourth option just to see if anyone wants that is not me.
This was fantastic man, wow. 2 1/2 years in the making?? I still haven’t played any of the Halo games but this just makes me want to play through them even more. You’re very good at overlaying and interweaving the narrative verbally and visually. That is no easy feat and the fact you know how to do this makes you stand out from the rest. Amazing job!
Thank you sir. Needless to say, this is a pretty momentous occasion for me, one might even say that I feel like I’ve gotten closure on a specific chapter of my life. Definitely still would recommend the halo games, particularly now that it seems like the series is on an upward trajectory again. I thank you for the compliments, it is particularly meaningful considering you are one of my significant influences. I definitely feel like I’ve developed my own style at this point, though. It’s from the audiobook of the short story “human weakness” read by Jen Taylor. It’s from “Halo” evolutions, short story anthology around the end of the bungi era with particular story being about Cortana from the end of Halo 2 to her rescue in Halo 3. There are a bunch of lines in this video from that short audiobook, it’s a goldmine when it comes to character analysis for Cortana.
