Very cool!! I love Franklin mint models! I just bought the Franklin mint Volkswagen beetle collectors set! I will buy this red beetle too at some point! Very nice
That is one great looking model.I have the original dinky model, boxed and have collected various versions of this over the years, the most recent being the new scalextric model which is wonderfully detailed.
I can keep going . the plate lettering is to bold . The mirrors that retract into the car do not have black sides that spoil the pink body work . The two characters in the car a very slightly to small . Due to head clearance . Front canopy pink support above parkers head is not contoured correctly. And last of all . the tyres are not rounded like a tractor . orher than all that . nice car
OK so it's meant to pink not peach . the chrome pin stripe at the rear panel is not fitted very well . the figures look like they were painted by a beginner. The twin antenna at the rear of the car are retractable and would not bend . Nice try but still not the best representation of FAB1 Scalextric did a beautiful job of actually getting the car just right when it comes to the cars stance and proportions.
I have one! Having seen the real one (owned by Ralph Lauren) at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, an exhibit called ‘Moving Beauty’, dedicated to artful automotive creations in 1995. Magnificent historical creations abounded, and I also have the catalogue documenting this memorable event.
Hello Robert and Happy New Year. I always enjoy your videos with the Rolls Royce model cars. Best collection of Rolls Royce Model Cars. Absolutely enjoy every video. Thank you for your videos Austin Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
This model was for Rolls Royce what the EDSEL was for Ford. THe fins look terrible and out of place in such a car. But this is not the worst one ever, that title goes to a variant of this with crooked headlights that look like 50s mother-in-law eyeglasses.
