If I understand you correct you mean when shifting gear while driving. I am not an expert but I think it can be 3 things: old dot 4 oil, adjust knob at handle bar for correct pressure to push the clutch or air in the system. My bike does this when cold more than when it is warm now after the change. It became much better. I will try to adjust the knob at handlebar next time I ride.
Thanks for the tips. Fixing to service my recently purchased 2009 Vulcan Classic, but never seen procedure before. Needed a visual in addition to the service manual.
