Oh, you put one of the verticals to use! Do you think one of these flywheels would hook up easily to a single bearing generator head? Maybe the manufacturer has a bell housing adapter to make that connection? What are your impressions about this design? I have been very curious about them!
These engines are much simpler than ZS or SD series, as they have no balncing mechanism. They vibrate and shake more, but are also less noisy. I like them. We custom made the flywheel connection - the three red parts and it works and looks great! It was a nice project and I did enjoy it. 🙂
Everything you said is true! I would add: simple, easy to maintain, cheap and available parts. With proper maintenance they will last for tens of thousands of hours!
Vibrations of the engine could be used to feed this stuff into the machine. It's just a matter of finding a proper slope of the feeding tube to feed it at desired rate. It would also make the whole process less messy. Oh boy! I love these engines.
That is a good question! The answer is simple. While ZS1105 was producing 50A at a single phase, the ZS1115 made 25A at 3-phase, which is like 75A if it was a single phase generator. Good point by the way! 🙂
Cool thing, but you should invest in a rust conversion spray. A little bit here and there wouldn't hurt. The paint is for decorative purposes only. Do you keep it just in your farm/garden or do you have some way to move it between places? Some trailer or some delivery van?
Thank you for your comment and yes, you are right - the paint on Chinese machines is not the best quality 😀 The tractor is used in a small garden and is just perfect for it. The customer is pleased and loves working on it 🙂
Thank you! It depends on the gear ratio. If your alternator has a 150mm pulley and you want your generator to run at 1500rpm, then your engine will reach 1500rpm, if its pulley is also 150mm.

There seems to be no centrifugal clutch on this unit. Does the compressor have an unloaded that allows the engine to start more easily? Did the Kubota style engine replace a different engine?
