I've seen people cut a slit in a nut, screw the nut to the bolt, then clamp on the nut. That way, the nut acts as a clamp to keep the bolt tight, without damaging the bolt, or screw. But anyway, nice video 😙
This tool is a beautiful work of art - but it's just too good for the purpose. I made the same thing which does the same job and takes 20 mins to make.
Amazing work! Why do you work on 2 different lathes? is the watch makers lathe more precise than the larger lathe. Or is it easier to work on the smaller lather when you work with small parts?
thank you!the small lathe is not strong enough to cut lager parts such as the case 、barrel and so on,and yes its easier and more convenient to tuning small parts on the small watchmaker lathe。the lager lathe is called 『tool maker lathe』,i use it to make watch case and some special tool i need。
Just seeing this video now. Very inspiring and educational! I order parts and assemble watches for myself but the idea of machining parts and really making my own is awesome! You did an excellent job!
Nice to see a new video. I always like to see your work and how things are done. Nice to see the cat as well, but does he/she have a name? Hope you will be making more of them again. Once again nice work.
This was probably the best video I've ever seen related to watchmaking. Thank you for showing how you manufactured the parts. This channel should have millions of views.
