Have this nearly exact setup in the Slim 7 AMD (7840/4060) The 7 wasn't much more when I bought mine. Either way, it's a great setup for a laptop. Power when you need it, even at 1600P60, and power sipping at 10-12w when watching YT on battery when you need it to. Great machine. LInux works great on it as well if desired.
Ladies and gemtleman, do yourselves a favor and use the "performance" power options for gaming, it is superior to any custom one, if you do not believe me, try and change it in game, notice the lack of stutter and immediate pfs boost.

This is an amazing video, I have an LOQ 23 model and it will help me upgrade however I just wanted to know one more thing, I noticed that your memory is consuming 39% of ram and it's the same for me it uses almost 6 GB of ram when kept on ideal why is that so? I tried to reduce it but nothing helped, is there a way around or this how windows 11 works? Please help

I am confused as to which version of Lenovo Loq should I buy, theres too many combinations of CPU-GPU. Brother, do you think 4060/4050 is truly better than 3060 with a decent CPU, like i5 or i7 or Rayzen 7?

You need a high power power supply All these things you're complaining about it's too heavy power supplies too big you need this in order to get performance out of this machine because it draws a lot of power it's got 24 core processors in there I mean come on
The reason that computer is so heavy is because there's a lot of processing power and a lot of heat generated and to get rid of heat or conduct heat you need a lot of copper and coppers heavy so it's worth it they have it and yes it's a huge advantage as far as keeping the temperature down and all that
Thanks for recording with the fan noise audible. I know its a different laptop but I just ordered a Legion 7i (2024) after returning my Zephyrus G16 2024 due to a really annoying type of fan noise (whiny). Like I expect a gaming laptop to be loud, but I expect something like this video where its much more of a wooooosh, which I'm fine with, rather than the G16 which would really drill into my ears with its pitch.

this mfkers' settings were cooking my cpu at 95 Celcius stable for Grim dawn which is almost 10 years old cpu based game. I have 240hz screen, 150+ fps now, dont remember previous ones, but I droppeded cpu power from ACrate and windows settings. you guys HAVE TO change settings! tweak fan speed and manual, drop this shit down ASAP !
I have it installed on my aurous b560m pro ax with a 4090 gaming oc. Mainly to update vbios and lighting control on the 4090. That and oc scanner is pretty much the only options available because the board is older and uses the gigabyte app center which is absolute garbage and stays off my pc.
I know I might be too late to ask, but I'm genuinely confused about the "new" power description from intel cpus, what is the consequence of constantly running the laptop at low TDP value like you did with PL1 28W and PL2 45W? Since HX series has the MAP(cTDP down) at 45W, PBP(TDP) at 55W and MPT(cTDP up) at 65W Is it ok for G16/G18 laptops to just set PL1 45-55W and PL2 90-100W for long term?
In my experience when I load up Fortnite it feels like I'm playing on an Xbox one first generation when it comes to loading Times. Most of not all games I start the game already out of the bus. Idk what to do, I already updated drivers... Uninstalled the game, redownload, verified files, updates GPU and CPU drivers.. idk what else to do. Game is on all low settings and shadows are all off!
I have a strange problem with this laptop with the 4060 version in the game, I had such a problem that my frames drop by half, then when I unplug the power supply, it is much better, then I connect the power supply again, everything is perfect, and after a dozen or so minutes, the fps frames drop again, which is things ?
