I'm not even a Christian, but this is such a shameful use of an old church. If Jesus were here with a whip as he was in the Biblical tale of the moneychangers he sent fleeing out of the temple, he'd start at that church.
Thanks for your remarks. Hmmm, I wonder if it actually had served as a Christian church at some point. It sure is a pretty building though, I'm glad someone had the energy (and money) to save it from the wrecking ball. You find so many unused church buildings here in Europe.
@@povtravels Yeah, it's like the Nazis turned all the Anglicans of Britain into Jewish Atheists after bombing everything in the 1940s. Parliament certainly didn't find the bombed-out remnants of past religious nationalism worth repairing. Tyrants always prefer to rule a divided populace; not that the monarchy was free of them either but at least it wasn't whatever this is.
Did this cruise offer excursions from the lake as some other cruise lines do, e.g. a ferry through the remaining three locks to Panama City, the train trip to Panama City, the visitors center, the rain forest, etc?
My strongest advice to anyone making a transatlantic crossing--take a warm set of clothes, be it a jacket or at least a very warm sweater (jumper). Halfway across the Atlantic, even in July, it can be frightfully cold and wet, and if you want to brave the outdoors, you'll want to bundle up.

Looks fun! I hope you had a blast. I'm going on Quantum of the Seas this summer, and I'm a bit nervous since I'm a teenager and I don't really know what there is to do. I'll have fun in Alaska though!
I am going with 4 people which one do you think is the best type of room for 4 people because when I book sometimes it says how many people can fit and sometimes not.
Perhaps she will get port visits of her own in the near future. Both our ships to NC, Vanuatu and NZ were packed! You name the ethnicity, and they were represented both as crew and passengers. A delightfully integrated travel experience for sure.
