Your feelings about not making enough art are very similar to my own! I do it when I can, but I just applied to my first con and also have been focusing on new merch. I have new designs and such, but they’re more or less in the works. I also work full time, and I need to rest, see friends and family and just enjoy life. It can be tough to balance everything!

my little sister is the type that likes to take photos when walking around the first time, decide what to go back for, and go around one or two times more to make her final purchases. I know a lot of people don't like photos taken and she has gotten yelled at and snapped at before. I just want some people to understand that there are some who really are doing it for honest reasons and don't always know why photos might not be allowed. I have talked to her to explain why some people do not want photos taken so that she is more aware of it and encourage her to remember to ask first. <3<3
This is good! I know that a lot of artists are concerned about people taking photos of their art and possibly stealing their art as this is happening a lot. There are also artists that are very concerned about their privacy. I think a lot of artists/vendors have this negative connotation at the forefront without even considering that some attendees genuinely just need it for their own reference like you said. I don’t think it’s right that artists/vendors just snap at people for doing such thing. They shouldn’t assume everyone taking photos do it with malicious intent. I personally do not mind people taking photos but it’s nice when people ask. Thank you for explaining to your sister the reasoning behind it and I hope no one yells/snaps at her again. 💕
it was a tedious process but i like to be able to refer back to the artist if i’m the watcher of videos like this. I think you should totally check out C2E2 dude!
lol i sanitize in between of course. Especially dealing with cash. Did you know exhaustion from months of con preparation can make your immune system lower? The more you know. 😁

Then we got to get a Filipino STAMP RALLY GOING! Hahahaha I been in discussions with both Lalainegeekart and Benjoblocks on doing one and been looking for other Filipino artists!

aww thank you! i’m feeling a lot better now 😄 and yeah! i’m still new to vlogging but i’m honestly enjoying the whole journey of being in front of the camera, editing, adding music. It’s like another creative outlet for me. Thank you so much for your support! 🫶🏼

Artist here! I also started vending at cons last year (2023). Only done two cons this year and one was very rough (which was crazy since it was my best one last year). lol it’s a wild time doing artist alley!

Great first vlog! I wish my first one was this cohesive! I’m glad you had good sales too. I also agree that last year MegaCon was kind of a unicorn. I think it’s because everyone was finally feeling more safe to get out and finally getting paychecks from their jobs again. Plus this year I just feel like no one has extra money to spare right now. ❤

I watched your Megacon vlog on my personal account not too long ago and found it really insightful from someone who’s been doing Megacon for years now and someone that’s not a print artist but a craft artist. I think that while we all want to have better sales year over year, there are SOOOO many factors that could affect the overall sales, especially factors that are out of our control. And appreciate your comment about my vlog. 😀 For context, I tried to vlog my very first AA last year but I failed 😅. So I went to Megacon with the vision of doing a proper vlog. 😇
