my grandfather already escaped bohemia in 1938 so when he got downed in his spitfire in 43, netherlands it wasnt his first rodeo, just an another walk to england. Fighter pilot, flew multiple spitfires, western front + africa, trained the guys you now know as mossad and the queen of england shook his hand, guys like him added the word "hunk" to the english vocab, not much competition really
grandpa crashed a spitfire in the netherlands, didnt parachute, ended up in a swamp and joined the local resistance, not even br*tish so it wasnt his first rodeo. got an another spitfire later for free
What a bull shit atleast for the respect of gun crew there will be one plane shot can't imagine the amount of propaganda that America insist Not sure that German crew can't able to down one enemy craft
After watching it in slow motion, you'll notice that Snow shot the tree, and Lucy Gray only drops to take cover since the shot was so close to her, she could have also lost the earring because she used her arms to cover her head as one would in a shooting - something she would know since most of the covey adults were shot by the peacekeepers, and given that the footprints continue too, it is evident that she survived. Knowing that being with a fully armed Snow wouldn't lead to anything good, she made a run for it. The way the scarf was thrown on the ground gives the impression that Lucy Gray threw it down violently, likely angry that Snow had lied to her and sad that she would have to continue alone. She could have also planted the snake as a way of making him feel the same way she did - unexpectedly betrayed, although the snake could have also just found its way there. Still, all the signs (and my hopes) appear to suggest that she survived.
Plus: The way she yelled at the sound of the bullets was probably triggered by the road of the Covey's death, or frightened because of how close the bullet went, not because she was hit. Another thing is the way snow find the earring slightly embedded in the dirt is a clear sign that she crawled away (crawling on it, and pushing it into the dirt) so he wouldn't see her.
I hate these scenes when People sacrifices themselves for np reason....the portal was right there,he lady had his hand,it's up to the last if she can keep hold of him smh
It just occurred to me that the song “The Hanging Tree” based on the murder of Arlo Chance. “They strung up a man who say that murder three” (Arlo killed a peacekeeper and two mine bosses). “A dead man called out for his love to flee” (Arlo’s final words: “Run Lil! Run Lil! Run!”).
I love how the actors can see the instrument panel without looking at it, manifold pressure dripping on number two, the co pilot seeing from across the cockpit that the opposite wing is damaged. Gotta love hollystupid and their "we know all about ww2" BS. "We read the book." Jeezuz. Wont watch and wont ask. My father flew in 24s and in a lead crew after Jan 45. Also did a 1200 bomber raid over Berlin, fourth ship over tossing chaff to jam kraut.radar. Yeah, he was really there. And I only found out after I was an adult. He didnt talk about it. But your dialog in this crap is hilarious. Accordi g to my father, the called out names, not.positions nor titles. They were a crew, a team.
The special effects are pretty good..but a quick glance at the actual casualty figures sustained by the United States (during the day) and Royal Air Force( night raids) tells you the luftwaffe were far more successful in shooting down allied bombers than the bombers were at downing fighters ..this is imperial storm trooper level bad shooting ..its kind of ridiculous..
Is easy to forget how efficient and brutal the Gestapo was, after so many movies trying to portrait National-Socialist Germany as Star Wars "stormtroopers", but reality was the opposite, and in almost no nation Germany occupy in WW2, with probably two exceptions, the resistance achieved nothing without a foreign military actually defeating the German armed forces in the battlefield.
I think the biggest thing in this scene is how Snow doesn't hesitate. Not even for a second. And it's not because he cares so much about living that he has to kill her, it's that he doesn't care about killing her. Its just something that had to be done.
