Help with not appropriate environment configuration. I can't install 3DExperience because: 1) The below combination of Hardware and Software Configuration does not belong to the list of Certified Workstations due to your Manufaturer and Model 2) Manufacturer and Model: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df1xxx 3) Operating System: Windows 11 Home 64-bit Version: 23H2 What to do? Your Operating System's Version "23H2" is not certified, please refer to the 3DEXPERIENCE Support Policy on Windows 11 4) Graphic Card Name: NVIDIA GeForce MX250 5) Graphic Card Driver Version: 546.80 Help please!!!
This might be the worst platform design ever made. Why make a simple action like deleting a product, file or part so difficult? Additionaly, Collaborative Lifecycle has so few filters that makes it more difficult to find your projects. Why not add a filter to Parent only products? So that we can delete the parent product in order to be able to delete child products and parts. Or why not add a filter to search for content by owner name? I'm a member of a collaborative space that has different owners, and it is hard to find the products I made. We need to open almost three apps (Collaborative Lifecycle, 3DSpace and Relations) to just delete a single content! My tip to the ones that are struggling with deleting your products, I recommend you to launch the 3DExperience Desktop App, and then use the search bar to look for a product you made that you are sure that is a Parent to many other parts. Then, right-click the product and click on Explore With and then Explore with Product Finder. It will open the product in the respective app. Then, you use the 3DCompass to change the software to the Collaborative Lifecycle. This is going to change the tools available in the Action Bar. After that, in the Lifecycle tab from the Action Bar, select the Delete tool and then select the product in the Resource Tab. This is going to open a menu, all you need to do is to make sure you clicked on the checkbox to also delete structural parts. Believe me, I had almost 7000 content stored in a collaborative space, almost everything was junk. Using this method presented by Dassault is not suitable for a mass delete. When you use 3DSpace to access the content from a collaborative space, all the parts of every product are also there. If you try to delete them, the removing process will result in an error because the parts belong tho a Parent product.
Has the feature or tool for joining or welding vertex's or points together been overlooked or have I missed it somewhere? Its a fundamental part of designing objects with the subd workflow only it seems to be completely missing in xshape!

It won't work unless the permission setting are properly done. No detailed tutorials or documents are provided to do the permission setting properly. Even the engineers working in the software distributors do not know how to do it, as there are so many options. Even when using the admin account, I cannot even delete files. The company is pushing the users to adapt to their system.
I have a hobbiest licence and I can not delete colloborative spaces and files that I made. the reason was that I do not have proper role, any insights how to delete those?

What a poorly designed system. It is horrible to use. Slow, unintuitive and overcomplicated. Cannot find a way to do the most simple task. Disappointing.
i nearly had an aneurism when i found out the save button saves files to the cloud instead of the local drive, which takes forever. Shame on D.S. for lowering the quality of their product
Uhhh.... what's going on in this tutorial? An overview would be helpful. I'm a long-term SOLIDWORKS desktop user looking to learn to design in 3Dexperience. Should I even be looking at this tutorial?
We just set up the cloud and 3DExperience for our company.... The next step is to get away from these clowns and change the whole CAD system. The entire 3DExperience platform is the worst thing I have ever seen.
So far, my experience with the 3Dexperience has been horrible. Anytime I update a hotfix, I'm terrified because there's a high chance of having problems later. Last tuesday (11th October) I installed a hotfix (4.2 if i recall correctly) in the afternoon. Couldn't work after that. Yesterday (12nd October) it was holiday so I didn't work. Today (13th October) I can't load the SW add-in. I've uninstalled the xcadconector and now I'm unable to install it again. I have lot of work to do. My experience with this environment is AWFULL. It is painfully slow and unstable. The video is not very helpful since the very first step fails because when I click the app the system does not prompt to download the installer. What I hate most about this environment is that there is no information available on the interne outside the forums controlled by Dassault or SW suppliers. Regarding 3D modelling, the worst thing that has happen to my company is to migrate from a physical server in our premises to 3Dexperience. The product is not mature. If you have the opportunity, postpone as much as possible the implementation of this. Kind regards.
This has to be the worse idea the engineers at solidworks have ever came up with. It took me over an hour of searching just to learn how to delete files from the stupid cloud app. This collaborative spaces is junk. Makes you feel like you are locked into a system and they own your files. I know they dont but this is what it makes it feel like. And what is with the constant logging in and having to use the desktop shortcut that has to be downloaded from the web app. The whole ecosystem is junk.
This whole cloud ecosystem might be advantageous for big enterprises with hundreds of solidworks users and an admin keeping the overhead. However I don't see any sense in forcing this overkill on holders of a single maker license. It just took me over thirty minutes to figure out how to delete a file and the whole process is so complicated that I'd be surprised if I remembered it tomorrow. Regarding usability there's A LOT of room to improve...
I'm switching from the Autodesk ecosystem to Solidworks, and this is hands down an awful install experience. For such a prolific and mature software suite, there is no reason that the Installer couldn't check for the correctly installed JDK version and install it without user input.
Thanks for the help. I would really imagine that the installation of this expensive SW would be smooth as butter. This was horrible. Also I could not find clear instructions from Solidworks site (which is a mess) either. So thanks as I got the SW installed with your help.
Never seen that, all is overcomplicated I always have errors messages in all step. 100£ for 1 year, its clearly steal when you take 1 hour just for install a software
I finally managed to figure out how to delete files with this video but it takes 7 clicks or 10 seconds per item. I have around 50 items to delete due to an import process being so confusing, how can I bulk delete items?
Thanks, installing this software isn't the most straight forward operation...I keep running into issues, hopefully I can wade thru all the issues to get it installed lol
