A superheated pyroclastic flow travels way faster than that, and is way larger and can have a dark red haze. Unshown in this video.

Beautiful work! You certainly need to be dedicated to catch those with the eruptions being so infrequent and random. I saw it at night '95 from pretty close by I can still hear those lava bombs crashing only 500m distant.

Really really nice! Been at Arenal in 2004; could only see lava blocks, red spots in the night; and clouds, and rain, and fog, never seen the summit! How lucky you are: no fog and beautiful strombolian explosions.
