seems like PCB mounted stabs are also an option, there seems to be the slots to insert the PCB stabs. the plate might get in the way of the PCB stabs, so solve it u can just enlarge the hole with a file and you'd be good to go!
Yeah that’s why I found it odd because the pcb supports pcb mounted stabs but not the plate… not willing to file it down and tbh I don’t mind plate-mounted stabs so I’m happy with it haha
Thank you! It just felt so right but saying that, I’ve swapped them out for an osume keycap set and it looks so cute as well. Might post some photos of it soon 💓
My unit had no issues but it’s likely the stabs being overlubed if you have that issue so try disassembling the spacebar stab and remove some of the lube and that might help. Alternatively try a different spacebar and switch to rule out any issues
Toshi! 🌸✨🩵 You’ll be glad to know that I’m cooking up a long format YT video of the entire build and multiple sound tests 🎉 also gonna be posting pics of it on my IG tmr so don’t miss it hehe
@@typebea I'm definitely going to enjoy it! My first build and I just lubed my switches yesterday in preparation for the case arrival lol I had a question about this particular case before I receive mine. Is there an insert for the 2.4GHz USB inside the keyboard or does it come entirely separate from it?
@@inserthere44 I can feel the excitement brewing! Which switches did you go for? As for the 2.4ghz receiver, it came separately for me which to be honest I prefer because it doesn’t mess around with the board’s aesthetic and feels a bit more premium that way
@@typebea OOOOOOH I'm suuper excited, I've been checking my package tracking almost every day now lol. Since it's my first custom keyboard I'm going fairly budget so as not to mess up any expensive switches when lubing 😅 so I've opted for the Gateron Milky Yellow Pros to start. Hopefully, as time goes on I'll upgrade them Edit: Also, i hope you don't mind me asking all these questions but, have you used the Lucky65 software for the RGB mapping? I've looked at a few videos of it and it does look a fair bit confusing so I'd just like to know how it is from your perspective. All of the questions aside I just want to say that for someone with only 76 subscribers, you have *amazing* video quality and direction and as someone who works as an editor, your videos are top notch and they'll only get better from here! All the best with your endeavours!
@@inserthere44 that’s actually a really good and safe option for switches. If you’re looking to upgrade in future, try any hmx or bsun switch - they’re such a good bang for your buck and come perfectly pre-lubed 😌 I haven’t tried remapping the rgb because I personally don’t use rgb at all (eyes are sensitive and personal aesthetics) but there are loads of pre set rgb modes to choose from anyway. Can’t comment on the software though as I haven’t tried it myself. Also thanks so much for the words of encouragement, means a lot 🥹
Have you got a problem with wired mode? I found that if I connect Lucky65 in wired mode, It would be stop working for a long time after turn off my PC and turn it on again; otherwise, I have to unplug the wired from Lucky65 to resolve the problem. By the way, it only occurs in the case that using wired mode when the switch underneath "Tab" keycap is turned on.
Make sure the switch is turned off when using in wired mode because when the switch below is turned on, it turns on wireless mode so it will try to connect to your device wirelessly. I’ve been using it in wired mode all this time with the switch turned off and haven’t had any issues so that’s probably the fix! I hope that helps and it works out for you!
I don’t comment on latency just because I don’t do any intense or high stress gaming but I watched thoccnology’s review and she does a latency test - and you’re right, the latency is pretty average/below average so for gamers, it’s probably best to go for something better in that department. I think the Lucky65 is great for a casual user by me but you made a really good point for gamers!
@@typebea couldn’t find them anywhere could you please give link please? (i can just copy and paste if the link isn’t working. )I really love the look of them!
@@Nick0-Guy it’s the first thing that pops up on my search results though but here you go: novelkeys.com/products/cherry-milkshake?variant=41129592324263
Oh, I came here running when I got the notification - I'm obsessed with this color, and just wow, I'm a sucker for the SupSup and even for the MOA version. I couldn't choose only one <3
Pretty much, except I did inject more lube into the backspace, enter and left shift stabs (without uninstalling them). The spacebar is completely stock.
